The Money System!
EH works in wizarding currency which features Galleons, Sickles and Knuts. Any money your character earns on the site will be put into their Gringotts vaults in those amounts. There are a few ways of earning money on the site that can be spent in Diagon Alley, these are listed below. Be sure to check back often for newly added ways of getting some cash in your bank account. If you want to see how wizarding money converts into Pounds or Dollars then go here.
Selling Pixels (1 Galleon): If you're able to draw pixelled images then feel free to make some to be sold in one of the shops we have in Diagon Alley. If you have a pixelled image you'd like to sell the PM Archibald, the Gringotts Goblin and he'll make sure you get paid ONE GALLEON for your trouble.
The Enchancement Lottery (20 Galleons): Buy a lottery ticket from Flourish and Blotts in Diagon Alley and hope that you win the Grand Prize! If you're a winner you'll receive TWENTY GALLEONS! Ticket prices are THREE SICKLES and ELEVEN KNUTS.
Work as a Junior Reporter for Aurora Quillink (1 Galleon and 4 Knuts): Submit an article to Aurora over at The Snitch News and she will instruct Archibald to give you ONE GALLEON and FOUR KNUTS.
Presents (2/3 Galleons): If it's your birthday or EH Anniversay just post an announcement over at the board and PM Archibald. Our goblin will be glad to give you your birthday/anniversary present of TWO GALLEONS. There is also a customary gift of THREE GALLEONS on Christmas Day and Easter Sunday.
Working for Madame Malkin (Seamstress) (1 Galleon, 6 Sickles and 23 Knuts): PM Holly if you want to be a seamstress for Madame Malkin, making clothes for every day wear and dresses/suits for special occasions. Any orders sent to Madame Malkin's shop for you will be PM'd your way along with your clients measurements. When you're done with the clothes design PM a copy of it to it's recipient and a copy to Archibald so he can see that you've done the work (no, he doesn't like to try on the dreses... "-_-). He will then transfer ONE GALLEON, SIX SICKLES and TWENTY THREE KNUTS into your account from the recipients bank account.
Working for Madame Malkin (Clothes fitter) (10 Sickles and 5 Knuts): PM Holly if you want to be a clothers fitter for Madame Malkin, taking in or letting out clothes so that they fit different people. Any orders sent to Madame Malkin's shop for you will be PM'd your way along with your clients measurements. When you're done with the fitting PM a copy of it to it's recipient and a copy to Archibald so he can see that you've done the work. He will then transfer TEN SICKLES and FIVE KNUTS into your account from the recipients bank account.
Making Avatars (1 Galleon and 4 Knuts): If you want to make avatars for another person PM Holly and she'll add you to a special list over at Madame Malkins in Diagon Alley. Any orders sent to Madame Malkin's shop for you will be PM'd your way. When you're done with the order PM a copy of it to it's recipient and a copy to Archibald so he can see that you've done the work. He will then transfer ONE GALLEON and FOUR KNUTS into your account from the recipients bank account.
Second Hand Robe Shop Submission (1 Galleon, 3 Sickles and 11 Knuts): Fancy making some clothes for the Second Hand Robes shop? Just PM Archibald with your pixelled creation and he will pay you ONE GALLEON, THREE SICKLES and ELEVEN KNUTS for your trouble.
Selling Items (depends on the items original price): Got something you don't need anymore? Want to resell it? You can either PM Archibald with the item in question so that he can send it on to the Second Hand Shop to be sold to someone else (for a knockdown price of course) Or you can choose to auction it at the Car Boot Sale in Hogsmeade (for full details visit the boards)
Winning Awards (5 Galleons): If you win an end of season Quidditch award you'll receive FIVE GALLEONS.
Teaching a Class (1 Galleon and 4 Knuts): Every time a teacher posts a lesson they will be granted ONE GALLEON and FOUR KNUTS.
