Caroling

[Morganna Alectophysis]

It had been a random idea that Morganna had, to get everyone out for an hour or so on Christmas day to raise a bit of money for some charity or another. It would probably be the only sensible thing she would do as Head Girl, so she hoped it wouldn't flop. She had sent the announcement out to the school a few days before the end of term. An invitation to join her for a small gathering, she thought it would be nice, although Christmas was for families, she felt most of her friends were her second family and would be nice to meet up with them for a little while.

The time for meeting was 7pm and it was currently five to 7 and she was stood next to the fire place in the three broomsticks that was full of singing locals. To get here people would be able to apparate there if they were allowed or come via floo or even broomstick if they could hack the cold. She wrung her gloved hands nervously, and then started compulsively sorting out the song sheets. Nervous thoughts were starting to go through her head. What if, even if people showed up they would just be booed at and things got chucked at them. She was no good at organising things, she shouldn't have bothered. She was just considering doing a runner when someone tapped her on the shoulder.

[Valentina Way]

Valentina was completely bundled up. She had wrapped her scarf around her neck and all the way up to nose so that she could breathe. She also had on ear muffs, gloves, and knee high boots. But she was still cold.

"It's freeeezing!" She said to Morganna through her scarf as she approached her.

"Aw crap and I'm early... which means I have to stand here for even longer!" She said as she moved herself over to next to Morgs.

"Body warmth!" She joked.

[Drachir Nedra-Elxa]

Drachir wandered up in his warmest jacket, a house scarf of course, his tailed hat and various other things that were warming; including a small hip flask of fire whisky.

"Hi guy's Maen he'n Ore or what?"

Which in english meant it's cold. He wasn't much of a singer but that didn't at all mean he didn't like to sing specially if it was for charity, making an idiot of yourself for charity was a common action that Drachir enjoyed.

He pulled his hip flask of firewhiskey and took a long swig, he scrunched up his eyes and coughed slightly, he offered it to the other's.

"Here this'll warm you up a bit."

Morganna grinned, even though she had been about to leg it, she was glad to see Val there.

"Oh hey Val! Glad you made it! How's the Hol's going so far? Hey Drachir!" She smiled and waved at him too as he joined them both. She pulled her scarf a little tighter around her neck to stop the draft that was blowing down her back, and handed Val and Drachir a song sheet each. Her eyes lit up at the offering of firewhiskey.

"Oooh my fave. Though to be trueful I was hoping for at least two sober songs tonight!" She said before taking the proffered flask and drinking deeply from it anyway. She passed it over to Val.

"We'll all end up singing over there with them before we get anywhere." She joked as she pointed to the group of wizards still singing loudly now in a circle with their arms slung around each others necks.

"Heyyyyy..." Val spoke through her scarf to Drachir.

She didn't feel like pulling her hands out of the warmth of her pockets, but the flask of firewhiskey looked tempting. She grabbed it from Morgs' hands and dumped some in her mouth.

"And..... thank you!" She said happily as she felt the alcohol slide down her throat and then she handed the flask back to Drachir.

She laughed at Morgs comment that they would all be a bunch of drunkards later.

"Well, then we'll just be a lot more entertaining to the people we sing to!"
