View Full Version : Babysitting Woes

Angel C. Starr

How had they managed it? Caught in restful sleep on a Saturday morning it had been interrupted quite rudely by a kick. Now that had been a shock for Angel because despite what some might think it wasn't common for her to wake up in bed with another person. Sitting up suddenly her eyes had flickered down to her sheets to see a small form in tangled with her own.

Somehow her little sister was curled up in her bed, asleep and oblivious to Angel's confusion. Upon further investigation she found at the foot of her bed bags with her sister's stuff. Oh this had been planned! The note that her parents had left her made it even clearer,

Honey,

Your mum and I are going off on a little mini-vacation so please watch Georgina for a few days...

That was all she needed to read to realize what she was stuck doing, the rest of the note was instructions on taking care of Georgie. Great, there went her whole weekend unless she could trick her brother into helping her. With a disapproving sigh she got back into bed with the little bed hog, hoping to get a few more hours of sleep.

A few hours later Angel made her way down to the Great Hall for a late breakfast, holding Georgie's hand. Getting the both of them ready hadn't been too hard of a task though it had taken longer that she’d expected. Even when she was just getting dressed she had to make sure the girl stayed out of her stuff. To top it off Georgie hadn’t liked the dress Angel picked out for her until she charmed it pink; apparently the siblings had one thing they had in common…

“Come on Gee’ you have to be hungry,” She coaxed her sister to follow. Georgie Starr was hardly a miniature of her older sister with light red curls and blue eyes, though they certainly did look alike. The two year old walked after her sister without complaint, a bright smile on her dimpled face. Angel was certain the girl was a lot more trouble than she let on, but was hoping she was wrong.

“Honestly who trusts me with their children?” Angel grumbled to herself.

Andi had awaken late that morning and wasn't rushing to breakfast, she felt too lazy to do so. She simply pulled her hair up and slipped into something comfortable. She made her way to the Ravenclaw table and grabbed a bowl of porridge to eat.

She took a book out of her bag and slammed it on the table, ignoring some complaints from other grumpy Ravenclaws. She opened it and began reading from where she had left off. A few minutes later she began zoning out and soon her head was on the table's cool surface and her porridge was untouched. This was the effects of Andi's all night studying.

"I wish I could do anything but study all weekend..." The girl sighed deeply and slowly began to eat her breakfast.

Death

Death was leaning on the wall next to the Great Hall doors wondering when Val was going to come down for breakfast. When he saw Angel approaching with what looked like some kind of small cherub in a prink dress toddling after her he rubbed his eyes. What he was seeing couldn't possibly be real, could it? Either Angel had some really short friends or...

'What the... Angel! When did you... what is that?'

Angel C. Starr
21-07-2008, 08:08 AM
“It’s a child, I’m sure you’ve seen them before Death.” She remarked while rolling her eyes. Wasn’t it pretty obvious what Georgie was? She was short and young, plus you wouldn’t catch a look that cheerful on any adult or teen.

Angel really hadn’t expected to run into Death, he was the last person she thought she’d run into. Oh sure he held a space in her brain and heart but it was easy to forget when he was away from her. Out of sight, out of mind…at least that’s was she liked to believe.

What she didn’t get was why Death was so confused, and it would seem upset, over the appearance of Georgie. With how similar they looked it was obvious they two were related. Wait! Did he really think that this was her daughter? Impossible, if she’d had a kid that age the father would have to be Death, and he’d have to know if he had a kid.

“Meet Georgina Starr, my daughter.” Picking up her sister Angel decided to have a little fun. Whispering in Georgie’s ear the girl gave a little nod.

“Are you my daddy?” The question came out of Georgie with a pleasant smile; she didn’t understand the trick that her older sister was pulling. Angel couldn’t hold off a laugh much longer, she gave the girl a peck on the cheek and set her back down.

“This is my sister, haven’t I told you about her? Gee’ meet Death, he’s a...well a friend of your sissy’s.” Looking back up at Death she smiled, “A good friend."

'Yes I've seen them before,' admitted Death, a dark cloud passing across his face. 'Thousands more times than I should have done...'

At the question posed by the little girl Death turned paler, if that was at all possible.

'Your... your what?' he asked then sank back against the wall in relief as Angel admitted her cruel joke. He smiled crookedly at the little girl and reached out and gingerly petted her on the head, after all he was unfamiliar regarding how to socialise with children.

'Hi, "G",' he said and raised his eyebrows at Angel. 'They're really admitting them early now aren't they.'

Georgie was all smiles, completely unaware that she was meeting 'the' Death. Then again her parents probably hadn't had to explain death and dying to her. Surely that was why the little girl was able to smile up at him and give a little curtsy, "Nice to meet you, Mister Deaf."

Angel looked down at her little sister, surprised by her manners. Oh sure her father had teased about how Georgie was more well behaved but what kid at that age was trained to curtsy? Shaking her head she made a mental note to ask her father how much time Georgie was spending with Gram.

Moving her gave back to Death she was glad that color was coming back to him. That really had been a mean joke she realized, especially considering the details of their break up. Oh sure she'd ended the relationship because he wasn't around enough, but she'd freaked him out earlier than that when she told him she wanted to get married and have children someday.

"My parents wanted some alone time so they have me babysitting," She explained to Death, her tone couldn't be any less excited. "Listen, I'm sorry about the joke...I shouldn't have..."

She was cut off by Georgie pulling on the hem of her dress. "Sissy, will Deaf play with me too? Do you like playin' games?"

Death

Death knelt down to the little girls level so he could talk to her properly. Much to his annoyance, Death was good with children. They seemed to be naturlly magnetised to him. They liked him. It was insane.

'Games? Well, I... I don't think I've ever played any games before G,' Death admitted. 'But of course I'll play games if you teach me what they are.'

He made to get up, putting pressure on his right knee but soon gave up when he realised his joints weren't going to co operate.

'Sorry,' he said, looking up at Angel. 'Knees are a few hundred million years old. It's ok you, know, about before. I know you didn't mean anything by it.'

Lucas Montgomery

Lucas walked up to the scene of Angel, Andi, Death, and a small child standing in the hallway. He arched an eyebrow and looked over the wee one. He caught Death's comment of never having played any games before. Lucas looked up at Death and chuckled.

"That's not entirely true, Death. You're exceptionally well at mind games," he said with a smirk. "So...what all this then? Did Hogwarts suddenly get a day care center?" he asked referring to the small girl.

Angel C. Starr

With a sweet little grin Georgie held out her arms, suggesting for him to pick her up. "Well mista' Deaf I'll teach you. You'll have lots and lots of fun!"

Angel's own smile brightened, the mental picture of Death playing kids games with her little sister was too much. Never had she been able to picture him with kids, and she certainly hadn't expected it to go this well. Especially when he'd always claimed to dislike kids...

"Better watch out Death, run if she suggests playing dress up..." She teased him, before looking to Lucas with a smile. "She's my little sister Georgie, I got trapped into watching her. A job that Death might get suckered into..."

Things with Lucas were odd, she'd agreed to be friends with him and pushed away his advances. Despite the fact that she was getting over Loki she really wasn't emotionally ready for someone new. Plus the lingering feelings for Death confused her even more.

"I'd run if I were you, she'd ferocious for a two year old. You might have to play some horrible game too..."

Death

The little girl held out her arms to Death, indicating that he should pick her up. Death shot a helpless look to Angel.

'I'm kinda stuck down here, Ang, dya think you could give me a hand?' he asked. Then suddenly, to Death's excrutiating embarrasment, Lucas decided to choose that precise moment to show up.

'Mind games yes,' said Death. 'The sort that you have no capacity for.'

Lucas Montgomery

Lucas had lost track of the score. But he was fairly certain there more points on Death's side when it came to clever insults. Then again, Lucas reminded himself he was quite done with trying to outwit the immortal. He just wished Death understood his prior statement was more of a compliment than an insult.

He narrowed his eyes at the being and scoffed. "I wish the powers that be could put you on a leash. You know they cage or put down roaming dogs and beasts," he said turning his attention to Angel. He returned a smile to Angel and gave the wee one a nod. "How'd you get stuck with baby-sitting? I mean, all sorts of strange stuff happens around here. Is it the safest place for her?" he asked with some concern.

"And am I the only one who sees the irony in a young child playing with the 'incarnation' of Death?" Lucas asked using his fingers to make quotation marks around the word, incarnation. "I mean, it's just an observation."

Angel C. Starr

"I'll help you but realize I'm never going to forget this Honeybunch." Angel said rolling her eyes before taking Death's hand and pulling him up. It was mere seconds after she helped him up that she was depositing Georgie into his arms, that way they both got what they wanted.

"My parents are off on a mini-vacation, and if you would meet my Grandmother you'd understand why Gee' is safer here with me. They trust me to keep her safe, a bit surprising I'll admit considering how they think I'm suck a screw up." She stopped, Angel just didn't want to go there today. "Plus child or not, she'd a Starr and we're tough ones. She'll be fine."

Georgie on the other hand seemed oblivious to Angel's conversation with Lucas, she was more interested in 'Deaf'. "Me and Deaf are the bestest of fwiends!" The child decided, giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"Believe me, I'm a little surprised how well they're getting on. Plus I don't think Gee' knows about people well 'd-y-i-n-g', and believe me I don't want to have that conversation with her. She'll find out soon enough..." Angel wanted the girl to remain innocent as possible for as long as possible, unlike herself. Her own childhood had been difficult, she'd never wish that on a kid.

Lucas Montgomery
25-07-2008, 06:51 AM
Lucas looked over at Death and the little girl and chuckled to himself. "Yeah, I wouldn't have pegged Death to be a fatherly type figure, but he seems right at home," he said with small laugh. Lucas turned back to Angel and gave another smile.

"So if you're pawning your little sister off on Death, what are you doing?" he asked with some interest. Maybe the two could go off and talk somewhere. Every time he saw Angel, there seemed to be quite a few people around. If she could trust Death with her sister long enough, they could probably talk. Plus Lucas didn't want to be around Death too long.

Angel C. Starr

At Lucas' question Angel couldn't help looking back at Death and Georgie without smiling. It was certainly amusing how well the two got along together, at least how much her little sister was fond of her ex-boyfriend. Looking back at Lucas she couldn't hold back a small frown.

"Do you really think I'd just ditch her? I mean sure I'm not that fond of my family and George' can be a real pain but I'd never..." She knew that Lucas meant no offense but Angel couldn't help forgetting how little trust her parents had in her. It was almost like they were testing her. "I mean I trust Death with my life and Georgie's but it's hardly responsible...right?"

She was questioning him because Lucas had always seemed so level headed where as Angel was pretty much a screw up. Her ideas on responsibility were questionable, and right now she felt responsible for her sister.

"Plus that's hardly fair to Death. I mean look at him, he'll never survive against her.." She said with a small laugh.

Death

Death raised his eyebrows.

'You know, you're talking right in front of me,' he said. He shuffled the little girl round in his arms so her foot wasn't digging into his side any more. She planted a cherubic kiss on his cheek and he sighed and rolled his eyes, it was impossible to look threatening whilst holding a strawberry blonde child in a pink dress.

'So... Cakes... what do I do with her?'

Lucas Montgomery

Lucas gave Angel an affirmative nod. He was being selfish, but he knew the smart thing to do was have Angel be close by her little sister. "No, you're right. I'll help too," Lucas said nodding in Death's direction. "Even though he's infinite and all, I'm not sure his patience is," Lucas said with a chuckle.

Lucas didn't like the idea of spending time with Angel while Death was around, but he decided to just endure it. With a small child around, it would lessen the chances that Lucas would attempt to take a swing at Death. Not that it would matter. Death had the market cornered on disappearing and reappearing.

Angel C. Starr

"I know you can hear me Death, I know better than to think you can't." She said rolling her eyes with a sigh. "I just think the kid has you beat."

Taking note of Lucas' comment she smiled at the thought of Death's lack of patience. He'd never needed to be patient, at least unless he got involved with silly little human. Funny for someone who been around so long lacked some much patience, but then again he had little experience with children. No matter what he said taking them across the void did not count.

"Okay so Miss Georgie are you hungry? I'm sure Deaf' wouldn't mind helping you eat up." She couldn't help herself from making fun of the way she was pronouncing his name. "Maybe some toast?"

"I no like toast! Nasty bah! I like fruit!" Georgie said making her preferences perfectly clear before resting her little head against Death's chest.

"Gotcha Gee', fruit it'll be." Angel said before leading both Death and Lucas over to a table and taking a seat. Helping Death with the small girl she placed her in between the two of them, and suggested Lucas to sit on her other side. "You like apples?" Georgie shook her head. "Oranges?" Another shake. "Grapes?" A disgruntled pout. "Really? Well how about bananas?"

One of the first things Angel learned about her sister, she liked bananas.

Death
03-08-2008, 01:54 AM
'Bananas? Looks like we have a monkey on our hands rather than a little girl, Angel,' said Death. 'I'll eat any sort of fruit myself.'

Leaning forward he snagged a pear from the fruit bowl in the middle of the table and bit into it, spilling juice all down his chin. Quickly, he made to wipe it off lest it drip into Georgie's hair.

'On second thought, I think I prefer grapes to pears, less messy. Ah well, waste not, want not.'

He finished eating the fruit in a few bites, managing not to coat the little girl in juice.

'So... how long have I been roped into this for then?' he asked. 'What else are we going to do with her today?'

After deciding that she couldn't study even if she wanted too , Andi pushed aside her breakfast, stood up and grabbed her books. "I'll study later on... Or... Some other day..." She sighed and headed to leave the hall.

As she was putting her books into her bag she was not looking at where she was going and unfortunately bumped into someone. The Ravenclaw stumbled back and dropped one book that didn't make it into her bag. "Good god I'm so off today..." Andi pushed herself up and looked at the person she bumped into and noticed that it was Angel. "Oh, hi Angel. Sorry about that." She smiled slightly.

Bear Nayet

'Andi!' A voice echoed at the Ravenclaw table and hurried towards the group carrying the small child that was obviously not a student at the school. Bear grinned as he handed his friend a book she left back at the table and looked at the group.

'You left your book on the table, Andi. Oh hey Lucas! Hi Angel, Death... small child.' Bear looked confused as he saw that Death was carrying a little girl. He, however smiled at the young thing and looked back over to the group.

'Whats the occasion? Do we have a home education class at Hogwarts now?'

Andi Forrestal

"Gah!" Andi squeaked in surprise. "I didn't notice!" She quickly grabbed her history book from Bear and shoved it into her already full bag. "Thanks Bear." She said, grinning at him warmly.

She turned to the group and notice with a start that Death was holding a child in a bright pink dress. "Now there's something you don't see everyday." She laughed. "Are you babysitting?"

Angel C. Starr
03-08-2008, 06:20 PM
"I'm no monkey, I'm a girl!" Cried out Georgie, bursting out into a fit of giggles. She did continue to eat her banana though, a show that she wasn't offended by Death's joke. With a couple of years Georgie might be the perfect audience for his jokes. "Tell him sissy! I'm a young lady!"

"Well I don't know George', I mean you are small enough to be one. Now just eat up you little monkey and then we can play games." Looking back up to Death she gave him a grateful look. "I have her until tomorrow at least, and I really do appreciate the help. I suppose we can play games with her, and read her stories. I'm new at this myself, I don't watch her very often...if ever."

And yet her parents had left the country, just leaving Georgie with her. Oh sure Angel had got used to them ditching her during the holidays but this was different. How could they do this to someone so young? Then again, Georgie at least seemed to be enjoying herself.

"Oh hey Andi! You Ravenclaws and your books, I swear you're a danger to all of us." She teased before Bear joined them as well. So now Angel was with three Ravenclaws, one child and one ..erm Death. "Yeah I'm just babysitting my sister Georgie, and Death here is helping me out."

Bear Nayet
03-08-2008, 07:13 PM
'No problem. I know you would have done the same.' Bear replied and laughed at the girl's remark about bananas. The child was cute and he made a note to himself to draw the girl later. He needed new models now that...

Bear bit his lip when he thought of Alexis. He was doing so good today and here he thought about her. His demeanor visibly for a few seconds before he smiled again at them all.

'Well, that sounds fun. Thank goodness I never had any younger siblings to take care of. I'm an only child, for better or for worse.' He commented.

Death

'For better,' commented Death as the girl once again snuggled against his chest and wrapped her arms around him. 'Seriously kid, what am I? A cushion?'

Standing up, lifting the girl with him as she proved to be incapable of detaching herself from him, Death carefully stepped out from the bench.

'Can we take her outside guys? Go for a walk maybe? Bear?' he looked at the Ravenclaw with desperation. 'Could you take her for a while, please?'

Bear Nayet
04-08-2008, 12:49 AM
'Sure.' Bear opened his arms to the little girl, unsure of how she would react to being held by a new person. 'Mr. Death needs to have a break for a while, but he'll hold you again soon.'

He smiled at the girl. 'I'm Bear. Do you mind being in my arms?' He asked her, not wanting to have a screaming girl on his hands.

Angel C. Starr

Despite giving a small pout when Death handed her over she smiled at her new potential friend. "Bear?" Georgie said with a bunch of giggles. "But, you not a bear! Bears are furry!"

Angel watching the whole thing rolled her eyes, "Death you don't find weird but Bear you do? Oh Gee' you are a strange little monkey-girl." She teased the girl as she started to grab some fruit to take with them. Eventually she gave up and just grabbed the bowl, surely no one would miss it.

"Outside sounds lovely, and I'm sure Georgie will love it. Let's just stay far away from the lake, otherwise one of you will have to go in after her. I don't go swimming in dresses..." Without thinking Angel started to link her arm in Death's now empty one but stopped, looking up at him. Her heart skipped a beat. "Out we go!"

"Yay! We can play anatra anatra oca!" Georgie cried out and Angel raised an eyebrow at her sister's mix of Italian and English. Figured her father was trying to make sure she knew Italian too. "It's called duck duck goose here Gee', and I'm sure Death and Bear would love to play with you."

Death

Death's intitial reaction was to run as far and as fast as he could as soon as he had handed over the little girl to Bear, but for some reason he couldn't fathom he fought his desire and stayed put.

Then something else tested his fight or flight reaction, Angel almost linked her arm in his but she stopped short and looked at him instead. Clearly she'd surprised herself too. Death almost wished he hadn't given Georgie to Bear after all. Then it couldn't have happened. He felt awkward and didn't know what to do to break the tension. Making a choice he draped an arm around Angel.

'Alright then, let's go. I've never really been a fan of swimming myself. And it's pretty hot outside, with my complexion I could easily get burnt.'

He started to lead Angel towards the Great Hall doors hoping that Bear and Andi would follow them.

Lucas Montgomery

Lucas Andi and Bear a big smile. He was happy to see his fellow Ravenclaws. Bear seemed to be in better spirits since the break up with Alexis. Or at least that's what Lucas thought. He simply nodded as Death suggested they take the group outside.

However Lucas gave a bit of a disapproving look when Angel attempted to link arms with Death. He knew there was no logical reason for jealousy, but the feeling had hit him. He decided to keep his distance for a bit. He didn't want to play with the small child while being upset.

'Oh you British and your light skin.' Bear joked and smiled over at the girl who giggled at his name.

'You are very right, Georgie. Bears are furry. I am not, though my hair makes up for it.' With a flip of his head, a braid landed in the little girl's hands. Bear hoped she wouldn't pull but you never knew with kids and hair.

'I love Duck Duck Goose.' Bear admitted and looked up as they were walking. 'anatra anatra oca.. I'll remember that.' Bear loved languages and was trying to learn as many as he could.

"I not English! I Italiana!" Georgie declared to Bear, though she probably didn't fully grasp what that meant. Angel couldn't help looking back at the girl and smiling, she could definitely see her father in Georgie. That Italian pride that Dante Starr held even though he loved England too.

"Forgive my sister's insanity, she must have picked that up from my father." Angel remarked with a grin though she was fighting very hard to not think about Death's arm around her shoulder. While it made her nervous, it felt right just like always. "She must have forgotten that she's half English, or really doesn't know the difference just yet."

Georgie seemed oblivious to what her older sister was saying, growing a fascination with Bear's braid. "Pwetty! My mummy braids my hair. You have lotsa' hair, Bear! Roar Bear." Once again the girl started giggling, amusing herself. "You's gotta pwomise not to eat me mista' Bear. I no taste good."

Andi Forrestal

Andi was giggling silently behind Bear and Georgie. "I don't think Bears eat little girls. Then again you don't normally see Bears being friendly around people..." She teased, poking Bear's cheek lightly. "But I'm pretty sure this Bear won't eat you."

They crossed the lawn and Death picked a random patch of green grass and unhooked himself from around Angel so he could set himself on the ground. He laughed at the child's comments.

'Yeah, go on, roar Bear!'

Deciding not to linger on his little joke, however funny it was, Death brough the topic back to the reason they'd come outside.

'Right then, games is it? I'm afraid I really don't know any at all. So you're going to have to be the teacher then little one.'

He smiled at Georgie, still curled in Bear's arms. Death blinked. Had he really just said that? He replayed the sentence in his mind, hearing again tones to the words which could only be described as 'soft'. What was going on? It really wouldn't do if he became associated with being friendly to children. "Death, good with kids" he could hear them laughing now... Death shuddered, sometimes he sickened himself.

Sitting down on the ground next to Death she took a moment to appreciate what a pretty day it was. The sun was shining and that should always be rejoiced when you are in England, it could start raining at any time she thought with a smile. "I have a lovely idea, I'll catch up on my tan and you lot can play kiddie games." She teased with a long stretch before laying down on the grass.

Her sister on the other hand was a little too fascinated with Bear and being outside to really pay attention to Angel. While she had asked him to be kind and not eat her there was a bright smile on her face. She was loving the attention, she usually didn't have so many people to play with at home. "You a nice bear, no wantsa' eat Georgie!" She said before giving him a big hug, at least as big as a girl that small could.

"Awws poor Death, I think Gee' found another love." Angel teased him with a smile. "We Starr girls are fickle creatures I suppose, but I suppose you know that..." She said a little bitterly, pulling on a pair of sunglasses out of her purse/diaper bag for Georgie.

"Oi! I loves Deaf'! But I can love Bear too." Georgie said, sticking her tongue out at her sister. "I like my fwiends!"

Bear had to laugh when Georgie wanted Bear to roar. This was a good day to get his mind off of Alexis and he was glad that he ran into Angel with her kid sister.

'I'm not very good at roaring, but I won't eat you. You are too cute to be eaten.' Bear confessed and then put her down on the ground so she could run around a bit.

'So teach us a game, darling.' Bear awaited instructions.

The moment Georgie was on the ground she ran to her sister, jump tackling her. Sitting on her stomach she stole Angel's sunglasses and perched them on her own head. "Up sissy! Up!" She cried out, bouncing on her sister. The relaxed look on Angel's face was long gone, replaced with a mix of anger and discomfort.

"Oh Goddess! Sheesh Gee' what in the world is mom and dad feeding you?" Angel managed to get out after a couple of coughs and gasps. She made a couple feeble attempts to sit up but that wasn't the easiest task with a toddler sitting on you. She'd have to suggest this exercise to Loki for Quidditch training, she thought with a smile. "Get off Georgina Starr! You're crushing my diaphragm!"

That hardly helped get her sister off, instead the pipsqueak leaned over Angel. "What's a dia-diaframe?"

"Well it's the muscles extending across-" She stopped when she realized no matter how well she explained it surely a toddler wouldn't understand. Wrapping her hands around Georgie she lifted the girl up and off of her. "Let's just say I need it to breathe kiddo. Next time you attempt to crush someone, do it to Death."

Andi had retreated under a tree not to far from the group. She opened her bag and tossed out her coloured pencils and crayons along with her sketch pad and her favourite blue and gold mechanical pencil. She stared at a blank page of her sketch pad and thought aloud, "What to draw... What to draw...?"

Birds flew out of the tree and she thought of sketching the birds but they flew off too quickly. The castle would take up to much time... Then it hit her good, Andi looked up at everyone and smiled. Taking in how they all looked, she began to sketch them. Starting out with Angel and Georgie.

'Woah! Hey, wait a minute there will be no crushing here, I value my ribcage thankyou very much!'

Death crossed his arms protectively across his chest just incase the toddler decide to come barreling towards him but was soon distracted by his vanity. He wasn't beyond noticing how holding his arms in that particular fashion caused his muscles to stand out in a strikingly attractive way.

Lucas Montgomery

Lucas gave a small chuckle as Angel attempted to explain what her diaphragm was to the young one. He remembered when he was that young and always full of questions. Sadly his mother was the one to answer all of those questions. Shaking off the thought he looked over to Andi to see what she was doing.

"What are you sketching?" he asked his house-mate.

Angel C. Starr

"But my ribs are smaller, more petite and delicate! You can handle the attack but my ribs might break, puncture a lung and you can say bye bye to your precious Angelcakes. I'll be Angelpancake...in chest area." She retorted, poking Death in the chest a couple times for emphasis. Despite the 'attack' she was laughing just as much as Georgie, who seemed to find the whole debate hilarious.

"Angel, no attack Mista' Deaf! That not nice, sissy." Great, and now she was being reprimanded by a little girl in a pink dress. Oh yes, despite her cuteness this girl had to be evil. Putting her back on the ground she stuck her tongue out at Georgie. "Tsk tsk! Young ladies don't do that."

Taking a step away from the child Angel frowned, what was the world coming to. "You are so not human..." She muttered under her breath before pulling a smile back on her face. "Fine then George' give us all a fun game to play and I'll try to behave."

'Ooh harsh, Georgie. Hear that Angel, you're not a young lady anymore!' Death teased. He reached over and poked Angel's shoulder before straightening up and looking back at his ex girlfriend's sister.

'Georgie you are my knight in shining armour,' he said and bowed as deeply as he could whilst sitting cross legged on the lawn. 'Of course Angel shouldn't attack me. Who could attack someone as handsome as me?'

Andi smiled up at Lucas. "Everyone." She brushed off a few eraser shavings and turned the sektchbook towards him so he could see, she had only just started with Georgie bouncing on Angel and part of the background.

"It's not much..." Andi muttered as she finished the sisters and then began to sketch out Bear and Death.

"What a shame! Course that's hardly the first time someone has said that to me." Angel joked, sticking out her tongue at Death. Unladylike? That was hardly an insult to her with how often her grandmother used the term to describe her.

Looking back over to her sister she could tell that Georgie's grin had grown. Was she up to something or just planning something? "I got a game!" She declared, smiling broadly. "We can play tag!"

To be honest Angel was a little relieved, running she could do. Turning back to Death she decided to explain the game so he wouldn't be completely clueless...and a perfect target. "It's a muggle game, basically a person is 'it' and all the other people run away from them. The 'It' person tries to catch someone else to make them 'It'."

About the moment after Angel stopped talking, Georgie started, "And Deaf is it!" And with a giggle she ran away from him, heading towards a tree. At the same time Angel hopped back up, running in the opposite direction.
