View Full Version : A Continental Breakfast

Just six months ago at this time, the enchanted ceiling of the Great Hall would have been pitch black. However as summer rapidly approached the highlands, the mornings got earlier, and to the delight of the Hogwarts students, warmer and brighter too. It was only half past seven, but bright beams of sunlight streamed through the glass panes. Small particles of dust danced through the strips of light almost like snowflakes, ironic considering the time of year it was.

It was a Sunday morning, lessons were off and the students were offered the chance to do whatever they liked on this sacred day. Fintan had risen early to enjoy the early morning atmosphere, he found it freshened his lungs and cleared his head. He was sat at the Hufflepuff table, pleasantly admiring the spectacular breakfast available to him. It contained every possible item on a 'continental breakfast' one could imagine, with foods from all over Europe. German Salami sat aside French toast, whilst tens of gallons of Italian coffee could be found dotted around the table amongst the cascading fruit bowls. They'd been deliberately overfilled resulting in spillage and the fruit to overflow, hoeevr enchantments had been placed which caused the ever falling fruit to float back to the tope of the pile, only to fall back down again. The image was spectacular and almost too good to eat. However, Fintan was absolutely starving and couldn't wait to get a croissant down his throat.

He was sat with the Daily Prophet open next to his currently empty plate. He was reading an article on a sudden uprise in the troll population within Russia, fascinating of course. There were few other students in the Hall, fifty at the most. Obviously the others were taking advantage of the lack of lessons and were sleeping in. Many students were congregated near him, and inter-house relationships were rife, with Gryfindor, Ravenclaw and Slytherin students all sat in this collective at the Hufflepuff table.

It was another wonderful sunny day at Hogwarts and Eva couldn't pass this up by sleeping in! Though early by some standards, Eva walked into the great hall with her hair high in a pony tail and a bright smile on her face. Sure she had homework to do today but she was going to go outside to do it!

Walking over to the first table she spotted, she sat down at the Hufflepuff table not far from the new prefect sat, Fintan. She didn't know him personally but did smile at him as she moved to fill her plate with delicious food from all across the world. She bit into the fruit with delight and gleefully began to eat, wondering if she was going to see any of her friends out and about in the morning.

She hoped so.

The morning jog was quite pleasant, and Franz was now starving to death. After jumping in the shower, he walked in to the great hall, and initially headed for the Gryffindor table where he usually sat. However, noticing Eva sitting at the Hufflepuff table, he decided he wanted some company.

"Good morning." Franz greeted Eva with a smile and sat across from her.

He also noticed the new Hufflepuff prefect sitting not far from them. Franz didn't know him very well, but knew that Fintan was a friend of Val's, so he nodded at him as a greeting, and then turned back to Eva.

"How's the food this morning?" He asked in attempt to begin a conversation as he begin to grab some food to his plate.

If there was anything more annoying than waking up early for breakfast, it was listening to Nikki go on and on about Lucas Montgomery. She has heard enough about the boy. She just about knows every single detail about him, more than she ever wanted to know. Mole marks, scars, and how big certain areas are. It was not anything she wanted to hear. But being the nice twin sister she was, she let her sister talk to her anytime, and vent. But this was getting too out of hand. ANNOYING!

Tess walked down to get breakfast, and to get her mind off of her drama filled sister. Normally Tess slept through breakfast, but today, she just needed to eat someting. She walked in the great hall, and found Eva sitting at the Hufflepuff table. So with a great smile, Tess sat right beside her friend, and began to fill her plate with food before greeting her. She surely was hungry.

"Hey Eva!" She said while piling on food on her plate.

Eva smiled broadly at Franz when he came over and sat down with her. She wasn't acting as crazy and nutty as she was previously over Franz. However, he was still cute!

"Its really good!" She stated as she quickly swallowed a piece of fruit. The great hall food was always good thanks to the house elves but she really liked the variety of breakfast foods this morning. She pointed to the German dish on her plate.

"Especially this!" She acknowledged without realizing that she was actually TALKING to the German who came from the country that made this type of food. She giggled, maybe a bit too much than was needed and shook her head.

"But I bet you know that this is good, right?" Before Eva could say anything else or laugh any more, she heard someone else call her name and turned to see..

"Tessa!" She hadn't seen her friend in forever. "Has Nikki held you hostage?" She moved over so her friend could sit down.

Tess chewed on some blueberry muffins as she settled in her seat.

"Has Nikki held you hostage?" Eva asked her.

Tess nodded as she tried her best to swallow the delicious muffin down her throat. She gave a big sigh, as if living with debbie downer Nikki was exausting, as it really was. Finally she was able to speak clearly

"Yeah, things haven't been too fun in the sister department...that's for sure...." She said to Eva, "I've found out so much stuff about Lucas...like dirty details...."

She suddenly cringed at the thought, the mental picture that Nikki drew up. She tried blocking out the images in her head at that moment...but her brain wouldn't stop. She gave her head a shake, as if the thoughts would all shake away. It didn't do much but to make her dizzy.

"....more than I ever wanted to know..."

It had come to Fintan's attention that the collection of students near him was beginning to grow, he'd been achknowledged by a few of them. Silently listening in to their conversation, he pretended to read the Daily Propet whilst absent-mindedly gnawing on his fork. It wasn't until his teeth became sore that he realised what he was doing.

He'd made quite a few friends at Hogwarts, however lacked the vast friend base that many possessed. True, he was rather shy and not as outgoing as the others, but he'd recently vowed to try and make some new connections and saw this as the perfect oppurtunity.

Turning to the group and asked in his broad Irish accent;
"Could you throw me one one of those muffins you're eating?", this was directed at Tessa.
"Well a new one o'course, not the one you have in your mouth right now. I'm Fintan by the way, top'o'the morning to you."

Seth Brusseau

Seth strolled into the Great Hall very hungry. He had been dreaming of a very tasty breakfast the night before and couldn't wait to sink his teeth into some fresh pancakes and sausage. Seth had been feeling extraordinarily pleased with himself lately. He was also flying high knowing that his own quill had driven a student to near madness and they were taking a "rest" in St. Mungo's.

He walked past Fintan's table and instantly recognized the HufflePuff along with Ms. Seivert and Franz. There was, however a cute blue haired girl who he had not had the pleasure of meeting. Seth stopped to simply say hi and see if there was any room at the table. "Hello everyone," he said in a smooth voice. "How is everyone?"

He looked down and saw a copy of the Daily Prophet sitting on the table near Fintan. It made Seth almost sneer. Sure it was a popular paper in the wizarding world, but he was biased having his mother work for the The Quibbler.

"Oh, what have we here? Anything remotely interesting in the Prophet this week?" Seth asked in an amused tone.

Fintan Brennan

Fintan watched as Seth made his way into the Hall and towards their table. Seemingly foreknown for causing friction and drama to document for the newspaper, he was weary about the boy. Though he had no dirt in his past he feared getting dug up, or had been involved in any shocking drama within the school, he was silently suspicious of him.

He greeted them, to which Fintan replied with a small smile and a nod. Glancing round he watched as the others retorted.

"Oh, what have we here? Anything remotely interesting in the Prophet this week?" Seth asked, to which Fintan smiled.

"Well, do you count the rising troll population in Russia as interesting?" he asked, "If so, then you're sorted. I'm sure you could write something far more interesting of course. Anything happening in the school at the moment to report on?."

Franz Kaiser

Franz smiled when Eva pointed at some German sausage links and patties and told him that they were delicious. It was very cute that Eva hadn't initially realized she was telling the German that.

"Yes, I know they are." He said with a wink. He actually didn't even think about the fact that he had winked. Back in the German school, he was very comfortable with everyone since it was a small school. He now was warmed up to this school too and so was acting more friendly.

Franz watched as Eva and Tessa spoke. He hadn't met the blue haired girl before, but from what she was saying, she was the sister of one of Val's best friends, Nikki. Once they started talking Franz automatically thought it was girl talk and shut it out.

Then he looked up when Seth approached them. He was not a fan of the Slytherin since he found Seth to be very fake, and (believe it or not) a bad influence on Val (though others may disagree!). But it was difficult for him to imagine anything too bad about Val, so for now, he'd have to blame it on her friends.

He nodded at Seth as a greeting. This time, nodding not because he didn't know Seth, but rather because he didn't like him.

Eva raised her eyebrow when Tessa mentioned with gloom that Nikki divulged all of her secrets about Lucas. Eva wasn't sure if she could handle the details another person's sex life: Thom was enough.

Eva then turned to look at Fintan, who had a broad Irish accent. She smiled at him. "Congratulations on your promotion." Eva said to him, knowing how proud he must be to get an honor such as prefect. Then Seth came in to join the expanding crowd of people and noticed varying responses to him. Franz said nothing but Fintain made small talk with him.

"I'm doing fine, thank you." Eva responded smoothly. He had caused quite a stir with the articles lately, but on the other hand, the Snitch always had a habit of cause more drama than was needed. "How are you?" She asked him, not wanting to be impolite.

"Troll uprising? That's no surprise. Russian ministry hadn't been very fair with the Troll population in the past. It was only a matter of time."

Tessa Ray

"Why hello Fintan, I'm Tessa" She smiled as she chucked over a muffin to him. She never was actually formally introduced to the boy, who was a prefect for her house, but she'd definetly seen him around the common room now and then. He seemed friendly...well as most Hufflepuff's are.

Soon another boy joined the group. She never met him either. But she smiled and waived at him when he greeted everyone. It was almost obvious that Fintan and this other boy weren't on very good terms. But they both seemed to try to put up with eachother.

Fintan then mentioned something about an uprising of Trolls. Then it reminded her of the time she and her slytherin friend Angie ((Eva, remember Angie!?!)) went to the forbidden forest and found themselves in a Troll cave. It was scary, and her eyes lit up when he mention the word "Troll". It was ironic enough that she was afraid of a thing called a troll, since she used to collect the muggle toy as a child. But this type of Troll was much larger and dangerous.

"Trolls...eh?" She said trying to sound natural, as if the subject didn't bother her.

Seth Brusseau
12-05-2009, 01:55 AM
Seth chuckled at Fintan's response. "I suppose that's somewhat interesting. And at the moment, there's nothing juicy going on to write about. Hogwart's looney psychic is gone so I guess I'll have to wait till a new bit of drama pops up in the school."

Seth looked over at Eva and the other girl whose name he still did not know. "Hello there," he said in a smooth voice. "I'm Seth. Seth Brusseau of House Slytherin. Nice to meet you," he said hoping for a response in return.

Franz Kaiser
12-05-2009, 01:45 PM
As everyone started to chat about trolls, Franz ate his breakfast silently. When Seth commented that 'Hogwart's looney psychic' was gone, Franz looked up at him.

"What do you mean 'Hogwart's looney psychic' is gone?" He knew Seth meant Lucas, but he didn't like the way Seth was talking about him, and was not going to admit to knowing who he was talking about. Also, Franz really didn't know where Lucas had gone, so this was a serious question in that aspect.

Eva Seivert
12-05-2009, 04:42 PM
((So weird you said that Tessa, I was reading old posts from the old site and there was a thread where she came back.. then I read this and saw that you posted about her!))

Eva didn't know what to make of Seth and decided that he reminded her of all the tabloid writers and photographers that would do anything for her picture. That wasn't a compliment coming from Eva and she raised her eyebrow at the mention of "Hogwart's looney psychic" and how he is now gone from the school.

Eva wasn't going to say anything but then heard Franz asked Seth very firmly who he was talking about. Well, there was only one known psychic in the school, which was Lucas.. why did Franz ask? But then Eva realized that she hadn't seen Lucas around, which was an awful thing to admit now considering they were in the same house.

Eva bit her lip and looked down at her food. Eva and Lucas' friendship, if one could call it that, was very rocky. They always seemed to be the opposite side when it came to drama as well as Eva's dismissal of Lucas' ability. She said nothing and waited for Seth's answer.

((Eva that is so weird! haha ))
Tessa almost choked on her muffin when Seth was talking about a loony psychic gone. That could mean only one person....

"Lucas is gone?" She asked surprisingly, "What happened?"

Tess half ignored Seth's greeting, becuase she was too interested on the topic of Lucas leaving. But she did manage to introduce herself.

"Tessa Ray... Hufflepuff..nice to meet you.." She said really fast, trying to get back on topic, "Now what is this about Lucas leaving?"

Fintan Brennan

He smiled and nodded as Eva commented on his recent award of becoming a prefect. It had come as a shock, however he accepted the role gratefully and was determined to do his best for the period he had the role.

In retort to people's seeming interest in the troll population of Russia, he skimmed over the articles, murmuring facts and figures to seemingly deaf ears.
"Never mind" he said, "It wasn't that interesting." He folded the newspaper and slipped it into his bag, to be completed later. He seemed to be involved in a conversation now and he didn't want to withdraw from that by reading a paper, especially if the articles were of such monotonous subjects.

He greeted his fellow students around the table as they introduced themselves, and vowed to get to know each one on an individual basis. However, the conversation had moved on to another subject now, and he needed to keep up. He knew of this Lucas character, it was impossible not to after the drama that surrounded his highly reported actions at a previous ball, and now he had left the school for some reason?

"Yeah, Lucas is gone? How come?" He asked, more as a way to stay a part of the conversation than of actual concern; he didn't even know the boy.

Seth Brusseau
13-05-2009, 05:56 AM
Seth loved every second of this. All of the inquiring minds wanted to know and he was the one to dish out the dirt. He gave a smug smile and leaned up agains the wall near the table.

"You all didn't hear? Lucas has gone off to St. Mungo's. His poor little mind came unraveled like a poorly knit sweater," Seth said watching the faces of the other students. "I guess that means he's no longer the Ravenclaw Prefect. And I guess with all of his supposed psychic premonitions, he didn't even see it coming," Seth said with a slight laugh.

The moment was as sweet as honey.

Franz Kaiser
13-05-2009, 06:26 AM
So Lucas was at St. Mungo's? It was pretty sad news. St. Mungo's was a place for people sufferening magical injuries or illnesses... and Franz wondered why Lucas was. The last time he'd seen Lucas was around Valentine's Day, when Angel had broke up with him, and Lucas seemed to have passed out. He didn't seem to be doing very well then, but Franz didn't realize it was gonna be so bad he'd have to leave school to go to the hospital.

Ignoring Seth's glee in telling everyone about this news, Franz asked, "What is he doing there?"

Tessa Ray
13-05-2009, 07:22 PM
Tess was surprised. Lucas was in St. Mungos? No way! She wondered if the whole ordeal between Nikki, him and Angel had anything to do with him going crazy? But Lucas wasn't crazy, he was normal...just did weird things with tarot cards.

Seth seemed to enjoy this set of news. This made Tess a little mad. Why was it that people enjoyed the downfall of others. She felt bad for Lucas, he was a nice guy. She would make a mental note to try to visit him when she'd find out where exactly in Mungos he was at.

"What is he doing there?" Franz asked Seth about Lucas.

Tess agreed to Franz's question.

"Yeah, why exactly is he in there....does this have to do with Nikki and Angel?" She asked, hoping to hear the truth.

Seth Brusseau
14-05-2009, 06:37 AM
Seth did his best to keep from laughing; it was kind of hard. He looked from Franz to Tessa to Fintan and gave his grin. "Why is in there? Tessa answered that with her comment. It has everything to do with Nikki and Angel," Seth said straightening himself up.

"Seems the pressures of cheating on a Slytherin girl with a Gryffindor girl got to him. Plus the heart break of being dumped," Seth said placing his wrist to his forehead in a dramatic pose. "I do believe the appropriate tarot card for him in this instance is Justice. Or perhaps the Fool. I'm not sure which."

Seth gave a look over to Eva who was rather quiet. The famous model was right there in front of him and he was wasting his breath on poor, pathetic Montgomery.

Franz Kaiser
14-05-2009, 11:37 AM
Franz knew that Lucas was having some issues with the whole Angel and Nikki department, but he didn't realize it was this serious. The fact that Lucas cheated on Nikki has always surprised him. Lucas seemed like such a good guy. Franz reasoned that this was probably why he was suffering so much from it. But he didn't understand why Lucas couldn't just admit he made a mistake and live with it. People make mistakes, it's unavoidable.

Looking at Seth drone on and on about justice.. and being a fool... basically, just making fun of Lucas, suddenly made Franz really despise him. Lucas might've made a mistake, but at least he wasn't permanently a jerk like Seth was.

Seth was annoying him, and he no longer felt like being here in his company, so he stuffed a sausage in his mouth and was about to get ready to go, when he noticed his owl flying toward him.

He removed the parchment attached to his owl's right foot and fed the owl some crackers while he read the note.

Speak of the devil, surprisingly it was from Lucas asking for a visit. It surprised him that Lucas had owled him, considering they didn't really know each other all that well, and he didn't know that Lucas had owled many others.

He looked around to see if anyone else was also receiving any owls.

Tessa Ray
14-05-2009, 06:30 PM
Tessa suddenly felt bad for Lucas. Although he cheated on her sister... it wasn't like Lucas to do that. Nikki on the other hand has done it hundreds of times. She was sure of it. But she wasn't going to tell everyone she knew that Nikki wasn't faithful to Lucas. There were things that sisters kept to eachother. She wasn't going to ruin her relationship just so Lucas could find out that he was being cheated on too.

But by this time, Seth really was getting on her nerves. It surprised her so much that some people could find humor in something so serious. She rolled her eyes at Seth's behavior, and was thinking about leaving the table but decided not to, because she was hanging out with her friend Eva. But just at that moment Owls started flying around the room, delivering mail to everyone in the morning. She noticed that Franz recieved a letter, and a minute or so later, she recieved one as well. She opened up the letter to find out what it was about. It was a letter from Lucas, asking for her to visit, and he left a little note on the bottom to pass the note along to Nikki.

"Speaking of the devil...." She started to say, "It's from Lucas!"

Eva Seivert
14-05-2009, 10:03 PM
Eva did remain quiet, listening to Seth tell why Lucas was in Mungo's and the whole drama of cheating and being dumped. Eva noticed that Franz was increasingly upset at Seth's conversational tone and direction but was surprise when Franz almost left the table when he got a letter and Tessa received one too. As well, so did she, a plain letter landed in her hand.

"Lucas." She opened it and read the simple letter asking for some company. Their relationship was rocky but she suddenly felt very bad for Lucas. She looked up at Seth. "I wouldn't make fun of people's problems if I were you. How would you feel if the same thing happened to you?" She asked, trying to keep her voice pleasant and neutral but came out shaky.

"I am friends with all three individuals and I don't think anyone should be gossiping about it. I know how hurtful stories can be." Eva said softly but shakily, keeping her anger under wraps as much as possible to not make anyone else upset.

"Who's going to visit him? I think I will tomorrow." She looked at Franz and Tessa, who both got letters. She looked over at Fintan to see if he got one as well.

Seth Brusseau
15-05-2009, 07:42 AM
After hearing objections from several of the people at the table, Seth grew even more surprised when he saw several owl messages land on the table from Lucas. Immediately, those who had received a request to visit the raving Ravenclaw, were contemplating visiting him.

He almost formed a scowl on his face at this turn of events. Maybe he hadn't done such a good job of making this boy look like a fool. If anything, he may have caused more pity for Lucas. Regardless, those of House Slytherin would surely see things his way. He knew Valentina would and more than likely Nikki.

"Three letters," he muttered to himself. That's nothing to worry about he thought internally.

(OOC: http://www.enterhogwarts.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?p=5729#post5729 is the link for visiting Lucas.)

Franz Kaiser

Apparently, Franz was not the only one to receive an owl from Lucas. He waited for Tessa and Eva to read theirs.

Then, Eva, almost out of no where, suddenly told Seth exactly how she felt about his making fun of Lucas, and how she hate gossiping. This completely surprised Franz. He had never seen Eva in this light before, and was... impressed.

He stared at her for a few seconds, and then finally realized that she had just asked who was going to visit him.

"I'm going to visit him." Franz said, though he actually wasn't really planning on it before.

Mallory Starr
16-05-2009, 01:24 PM
"I'll visit him too." Echoed Mallory as she took a seat at the Hufflepuff table not too far from Eva. She made a quick grab for something made of fruit, not really caring as long as it wasn't meat. "So, who did I just agree to visit? 'Cause I'm happy for any excuse to get out of Hogwarts for a few hours."

Being a typically curious and at time nosy person Mallory had a pretty good idea of the drama going on around her. After all some of it involved her cousin Angel and her housemate Nikki, it was impossible for her to not know. Another thing she was very aware of was that she wanted nothing to with the whole mess, picking sides really wasn't an option.

Plus why worry about others when you had your own problems? She was in love with a loser with serious commitment issues and her grades were sinking into a murky lake. To top things off she had discovered the identity of her biological father and didn't have bollocks to actually look at the paper. Mallory didn't care what was going on around her, her own head was swimming.

"So much meat...it's like we're eating Noah's Ark." Mallory muttered, taking a bite of a pealed orange. "Yum."

Tessa Ray
18-05-2009, 05:00 AM
Tessa turned to Eva, who asked the group if any of them were going to visit.

"I'll probably go becuase I doubt Nikki is going, so I probably should go for my sister." She told her

Which was the right thing to do, afterall, Nikki was the reason why he was in Mungos in the first place...right? So she should be there for emotional support for all parties involved. But hopefully Nikki wouldn't mind her visiting...maybe she would mind. Then she wouldn't go....

Tessa's head filled up with confusion as she tried to think of what was the right thing to do in this type of situation. Being the sister of the ex-girlfriend of the guy in the loony bin wasn't the best position to be in, let alone easy.

"But I guess I'll have to ask Nikki how she feels about it first" She said finally, clearing up the mess in her head.

Then Mallory joined them. Tess wasn't sure in what place Mallory was in with the whole situation. She was Angel's cousin so hopefully she wasn't going to have ill feelings towars her because of the drama between Angel and Nikki. She waived hello to the Slytherin, trying to stay as much out of the situation as possible. For anything is possible.

Eva looked over at Franz in an almost adoring manner before mentally slapping herself and friendly smiling at him. She was really grateful that he supported her and made her heart beat faster. However, she hoped no one caught it-she wasn't ready to let anyone know about Franz and her mix feelings for him.

"Good." She nodded firmly. "Oh, do you want to go together?" She then asked in a small voice when Mallory walked up to the Hufflepuff table and sat down. Eva was relieved that the Slytherin showed up to at least cover Eva's obvious preference for the Gryffindor.

"Lucas is at St. Mungo's. We are talking about visiting him. You want to go with us?" She asked, though she would much rather make the trip alone with Franz, she still didn't want anyone to find out about her crush on him and still needed a lot of time to figure out her feelings for him.

Franz Kaiser
19-05-2009, 06:13 PM
If Franz wasn't distracted by Mallory's arrival, he would've caught Eva gazing at him like she was. However, he was. He found it a bit strange that she agreed to visit Lucas, since she was a cousin of Angel's. However, he remembered that she was the one that stopped the fight between Val and Angel last time and so decided maybe she wasn't going to hate on everyone that Angel didn't get along with.

He laughed at Mallory's comment about all the meat and stuck a sausage link in his mouth.

"Meat, cheese, and bread, best breakfast there is." He commented with a laugh.

He didn't really know Mallory that well, but for some reason, because she was a friend of Val's he felt he could be friendly with her.

Seth Brusseau
20-05-2009, 07:51 AM
Seth was growing agitated by this development. Even more so when he saw Mallory appear and agree to visiting Lucas. Though she had no idea who they were talking about. Seth decided he needed to have someone on his side in this matter. Surely his house-mate wouldn't bother visiting the annoying Ravenclaw.

"Yes, Mallory. They're talking about visiting Lucas. Though considering what he did to our house-mate, Nikki, I'm not going," Seth said boastfully.

He conveniently left out the part where he didn't get an owl message from the boy. However, out of the corner of his eye, he noticed an owl flying right towards him. Immediately Seth dodged out of the way before the owl almost hit him. "Bloody bird! Watch where you're fly-" he started to shout!

However, he couldn't finish his statement as the owl left a present for Seth on top of his head. It wasn't a letter from Lucas, but somehow, he figured it was some form of message from the Ravenclaw.

"Owl dung," he muttered to himself. "How lovely."

Eva Seivert

Eva sighed. She didn't want Seth to be isolated, no matter if he was a bit annoying and all that. She felt he was a bit stuck up, but Eva dealt with those people all the time.

"What Lucas did to Nikki is sad." Eva admitted, though she didn't want too. She didn't want to get in the middle of things but it was the truth. Lucas shouldn't have kissed Angel or vice versa. "I think I'll visit Nikki later. Maybe we can get a whole bunch of girls and go shopping."

Eva nodded though she didn't mention that she needed to talk to Angel too. She looked over at Mallory. Maybe the two could put their heads together and do something.

Sadie Magnas
01-07-2009, 03:00 AM
It seemed that with the vast amount of students Ms. Sadie Magnas had gone without notice... Then again Sadie wasn't her normal self. No, If it was last year around the same time everyone would see the happy Russian girl who was always a morning person (though sometimes not the day after a party). Lately Sadie had been seeing the life that her friend Eva has. With performances, posting for posters, fittings, doing promotional work, it was just getting to be a little too much for Sadie.

And so, instead of Sadie enjoying her pancakes... she was using them as a pillow. Thankfully there was no syrup on them, but her face was not safe from the dab of butter that was placed ontop of them.

Yep, this was a most embrassing sight that Sadie has put herself in.

Seth Brusseau

After cleaning the mess in his hair, Seth smiled at Eva. "Capital idea, Ms. Seivert. Let me know when you do that, as her house mate, I would love to sit and talk with the two of you. Nicole's in a fragile state of mind," Seth said and started to walk away.

Turning his head, he spotted a girl laying face down in her pancakes. It was an amusing site and wanted to laugh, but at the moment, he just wasn't in the mood for laughter. He decided to tap the girl on the shoulder and wake her up.

"Excuse me, mademoiselle," Seth said with more of a French accent. "I don't think you can make those pancakes any more flat."

Sadie Magnas
02-07-2009, 04:55 PM
"U-HALL TRUCK!" Sadie shot her head up and yelled. A small pancake stuck to her face and then slid off back ontop of the others. Snickers came from around the table.

Sadie's head hurt so bad, she didn't even register that she had been napping on her pancakes. That is until she went to rub her face and found that the right side was slippery.

"What the..." She whiped at her face and smelled her hand. Realising what it was, she took a napkin and started to clean herself. Yawning she turned her head and saw Seth. "Oh, hi. Long time no see."

(don't know if you recall, but they met before)

When the girl raised her head from her pancake pillow, Seth recognized her. "Oh, Ms. Magnas? I did not know that was you," he said with a real smile for a change. "If memory serves me correct, you're a dancer I believe. Long nights on your feet I gather?" he chuckled.

"So what performance are you involved in now? I do believe we need to add something to the Snitch in our entertainment section."

"Oh, Seth. I'm sorry but I'm really not feeling up to an interview right now..." She held her head that was throbbing. "Would it be alright if we got together later?"

Sadie got up from her seat and was about to just walk off to her house dorm when she noticed that there was a letter sitting next to her plate of pancakes. Picking it up she read where it was from and her eyes wideden and a smile started to form as she forgot that Seth was still there.

Seth gave Sadie a nod and smiled. "Well it's not really an interview..." he started. However, he didn't get to finish. Sadie had picked up a letter off the table and took off down the hall.

Seth knew who the letter was from. It seemed everyone in the Great Hall was getting a letter but him. He was slightly enraged at the amount of sympathy he caused for the raving Ravenclaw. He skulked down the hall away from everyone. At least he had the support of his house.
