Weekend Muggle Adventure for the Professors

[Professor Rajan Malik]

It was about time. The professors had talked about spending some time outside the walls of Hogwarts without the students, and Raj had been craving this for a couple of weeks now.

Since they were planning to go to Muggle places, Rajan made sure to wear some Muggle clothes he owned after doing some investigation on what Muggles wore at dance clubs. He was wearing a a white button down shirt with a pair of charcoal grey trousers. He hoped it would pass for quite attractive in the Muggle world.

He waited in the common room for the other professors to join in since they had agreed to meet here at this time. He wondered to himself what Paige was going to be wearing as he took a drink of some mead. He had chosen the sweeter alcohol in case any of the female professors cared to take a sip.

[Professor Cadoc Brooks]

Cadoc was happy that he was going out with his fellow professors, though he wasn't too happy about the dancing part. He would certainly try, but he hated doing it for too long. After putting on a gray worn in tee-shirt with regular distressed levi jeans, he put on some cologne and a much loved leather jacket and headed to the common room to wait for everyone else. Already there was Rajan and immediately Cadoc noticed the difference in dress.

However, Cadoc was never the type to get dressed up in muggle clothes, so he mentally shrugged his shoulders at the difference. "What are you drinking there, Rajan?" He barked at him and sat down. He actually had to be a little bit sober enough to lead them to the first place but it was anyone's game after that.

[Professor Miranda Loveless]

Miranda was in her room feeling a little self conscious. The shopping trip with Paige went well and she felt like they got a long great. The last couple of weeks, Miranda was able to switch off and not be so strict. Around the students, she was subdued but not lenient. It was probably the most relaxing time her students had in a while. If the night went bad, that would all change.

Looking at the outfit she found with Paige, it was indeed different. She felt a little bit like a harlot wearing it, but she knew that wasn't true. And those feelings only came through because clearly she saw that she was indeed a beautiful woman. The idea was do something different and bold and this was clearly the case. Deciding that she was ready, Miranda got dressed and looked at herself in the mirror. It was different, but something was missing.

With a flick of her wand, her hair shortened and before she knew it, she barely recognized the woman in the mirror. If she were a man, she'd probably turn her own head at the bar. She let out a girlish giggle (the first one in years) and got her boots on. She hoped there would much laughing in the course of the night.

She entered the Professor's Common Room and stood in the door way with a smile. "Am I a little early?" she asked the men standing in the room.

[Professor Rajan Malik]

Rajan looked over at Cadoc as he walked in to the common room. He wasn't as dressed up as Rajan, but he still looked like he was dressed as a muggle.

"Oh, this is mead. Thought I'd switch it up from the brandy tonight... or at least for right now." It would be a joke to say that Raj wasn't going to be drinking more later on the night.

When another professor joined them in the common room, Raj almost couldn't recognize who it was. The hair, the skirt, the boots... everything looked so different Raj had to take a second look to make sure that this really was who he thought it was.

"Miranda." He said after staring at her for what seemed like forever.

"Wow, you look, a bit different than usual." He commented. Then he looked over at Cadoc since he felt like he had been staring and making her feel uncomfortable.

Paige had to admit that shopping with Miranda had been a fun experience, it certainly made her realize she needed to give the woman a fair chance. Her willingness to consider Paige's suggestions had amazed her at first but eventually the outing became natural. It was just like two friends were out shopping together, something she desperately missed.

She only hoped that Miranda didn't back out at the last minute before the guys saw her new look. Plus Paige was curious to see the guy's reactions to the new look. Smiling Paige pulled on her knee high leather boots and grabbed her leather coat before heading out the door.

It wasn't long before she caught sight of Miranda, her eyes widening in surprise when she saw the whole outfit with accessories. In a completely non-lesbian way she thought the woman looked great. "Wow Miranda that does look great, and I love your hair. I've never been brave enough to cut my hair, I'm a little attached."

Her attention moved to Rajan and Cadoc, who both looked too handsome for words. She was still very much attracted to the both of them, and painfully oblivious that the attention was returned. After all she had little experience actually dating. Maybe that could change?

One thing she knew for certain, Paige looked hott. Picking up something new as well she was how happy it fit against her body. Wearing a long heart necklace and hoop earrings she really thought her boots pulled the look together.

'And you two also look great, just I can't take any credit so I won't gush as much.'

Cadoc's jaw clenched at the sight of Miranda and just stared at her for a few minutes before turning his gaze on Rajan with a bewildered look. Then Paige came in right after Miranda and Cadoc's heart leap into his chest looking at the two women.

"Wow." Was all he could say as he stood up to greet them. "You both look very nice tonight." He barked out and smoothing out his shirt. "Who else is coming? Any of the other professors?"

Miranda wasn't sure if her new look was a good thing. Both Raj & Cadoc gave very simplistic reactions to her. She feared that her appearance was too extreme and now there would be a harsh judgment the following day. Or perhaps that the were stunned more or less...speechless. She hoped it was the latter.

"It's a simple charm, Paige," Miranda said turning to her shopping guide. "I can show you sometime if you like. I'm like you too. I would never cut my hair, but at least I can try something different before I buy it...so to speak," she said jokingly.

"And I agree. The boys looks very good tonight," she said turning her gaze to the men in the room. She kept it friendly, but she could feel the need to throw in some flirtatiousness in there too. She turned to Raj and smiled.

"Different is good, Raj. Besides, we're having a fun night. Not a boring one," she said with a wink. Where that came from, she didn't know but decided not to worry about it.

Though it was incredibly hard to look away from Miranda, Paige's appearanced finally distracted Raj's stare. However, Paige's look didn't help his staring problem. All he did was stare at her for a long while.

"You look very nice too Paige." He commented and then took a big gulp out of his glass.

When he looked up from his glass, he suddenly caught Miranda give him a wink. Rajan could not be more surprised. Who was this lady!? He thought she was Professor Miranda Lovelss, Head of Ravenclaw and the Charms professor, but obviously the woman was possessed for the night! And, Raj coudln't really complain about it...

Tonight was going to be a good night, it would seem.

[Nurse Anna Starr]

"Sorry Paigy but I've been running massively late all day." Anna explained as she came into the room, slightly out of breath. It wasn't an entirely truthful explanation, she had got into a fight with Rye. Apparently he didn't find it appropriate for her to have a night out without inviting him. She had been planning to invite him but after his over reacting she'd decided to just go out on her own.

As far as Anna was concerned she needed a night out anyway. Especially accompanied by a friend and two very handsome men.

It took for a couple seconds to notice another person in the room and to register that the person was in fact Miranda Loveless. Anna's eyes widened and her mouth dropped. Apparently Miranda wasn't completely hopeless. "Well I'm amazed, Paige had mentioned they you two went shopping but...I didn't expect this!"

It wasn't really something Anna would wear but that would be because the neckline was too conservative for her tastes. After much consideration she had picked out low cut bright yellow dress (http://www.amiclubwear.com/clothing-dress-cc-3446mustard.html)with matching heels. Her hair was pulled up in a sloppy bun and she had pulled on a gray coat. "Thanks for the invite, it's been boring in the infirmary. I feel bad hoping for disasters, but there is only so many times I can re-organize everything."

[Professor Cadoc Brooks]

Cadoc's eyes rose at the appearance of Nurse Starr, or Anna. He had only briefly met her before and now that she was standing before him, suddenly he realized how quickly things could go wrong tonight. He looked over at Rajan.

"Well, Aren't we the luckiest guys in the school?" he barked at Rajan and looked at the ladies again. "Is this it? Shall we go by floo powder or apparition at the end of school grounds?"

[Professor Everilda Araylia]

Everilda rarely hung out in the common room so hadn't spent much time with the other professors. Since she had made her room temporarily inhabitable earlier on in the day thanks to a potion mishap she sought refuge in the staff room. Wandering in she was dressed in jeans and a bright red t- shirt and was clutching a DADA book, 'Tricky Attacks and how to Tackle them.' Walking around the group of professors she eyed them and their attire cuiously, smiling at each of them.

"Howdy. You all look very dashing." She didn't really have a clue who was who, despite having lived, dined and worked with them for some time.

"I'm just researching my next class topics." She said waving her book about for them to see.

[Professor Miranda Loveless]

Miranda turned to the DADA teacher and gave a pleasant wave. She realized that they had not crossed paths during her time at the school. She walked up and greeted the woman cordially.

"I don't believe we've officially met," Miranda spoke. "Miranda Loveless. Professor of Charms...or Charms Mistress. We're all taking an evening out."

She turned to look over at the others to see if there was any intention of asking her to join. "I'm ready if everyone else is."

[Professor Paige Ashby]

'Anna, I'm glad you managed to make it! I guess Wickliffe decided to not come?' Paige asked her friend more privately, a confused look on her face. When she had invited Anna they had expected Rye Wickliffe to be joining them but now it would appear that she was going alone.

Normally it wouldn't be a big deal but if Paige were to be honest she'd have to admit to not wanting to share the guys with Anna. Especially knowing what a flirt that her friend could be. She knew it wasn't nice of her to think like that but she couldn't help it, especially when she looked at Cadoc.

At the addition of another female to the room Paige really had to keep from letting out a sigh. Mentally chastising herself, really she was thinking like a hormonal teenager and she was much too old for that!

'Good evening Professor Araylia, how productive of you.' She said with smile, though finding the formality of her tone a little strange. Paige knew Everilda because they had been in the same year and house, they had even shared a dorm! At one point they would have been considered friends, after all Paige was friends with everyone but like everyone else she had lost touch. 'You could come with us if you'd like to slack off some.'

Hopefully she'd keep her hands off Cadoc-- no she must not be jealous, after all she had no reason to be. 'Apparition works for me, I'm not big on Floo.'

[Professor Everilda Araylia]

Everilda smiled at Miranda,

"Hello, lovely to meet you all properly. I'm Everilda Araylia, Defence against the dark arts." She said holding up the book to show that was indeed what she taught. She smiled at Paige. She had spent 7 years with in the same dorm as her but Everilda had never really been much good at keeping in touch with friends. She was to forgetful and vague.

"I would love to come, anything to get away from the homework I set myself!" She looked around at the groups more dressy attire compared to her's with a flick of her wand her jeans were a denim skirt instead, though it wasn't short, more of a pencil skirt that came to just below her knees. She left the red t shirt as it was.

"That's a bit better. Where are we going then Michele?" She asked Miranda. She was useless with names and other tidbits of infomation about people.

Miranda seemed rather impressed with the quick little charm to change Everilda's clothes. Knowing she was the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, she wondered what else the woman was good at in terms of spells. Though she did strike Miranda as a bit scatter brained. Michele? Perhaps she misheard her.

"Miranda, dear," she responded to Everilda. "And I'm not entirely certain where we are headed. Thoughts, anyone?" she looked to the others.

Miranda was ready for what ever the night would bring. She was still a little giddy at the reaction she got out of Brooks & Rajan. It was nice to be able to turn a few heads. All these years she thought it wasn't a possibility. Now she was willing to let loose a little. Not too much though.
