View Full Version : New Beginnings Party
Hollieanda Spark
01-05-2010, 11:20 AM
Hollieanda stood at the top step and looked out over the lawn that went to the edge of the Forbidden Forest. She sighed and twisted her hands behind her back waiting for anyone. She had sent out the invitations to practically everyone. She was glad they could have the party but they couldn't have a bonfire but they could set fire to the things they wanted rid of with their wands if they were very careful and they also couldn't party too late. It was probably going to turn out to be a lame and boring party but Hollie was hoping with some of the people at the school being such characters they would manage the eeke the party on longer than intended, and hopefully some mischief would be had.
She tugged at her dress, a black and white low cute japanese lolita style dress. She was proud of the dress, she even had a hairband and a parasol but she was worried that someone would find it odd. The letter from her parents was folded small and tucked into the bust line of the dress. Hollie turned and stared at the main doors willing people to come out and join her.

The party had taken a lot of preparation but Bear and Hollie worked incredibly hard on it. The invitations, the planning, the begging of the professors to allow a bonfire on campus. Finally, it was here. Alas, a bit late, but here never the less.
Bear came up next to Hollieanda with a smile on his face and casual dress. He wasn't too done up, it was never his style, but a blue shirt and a pair of grey pants did the trick just fine.
"You look nice, Ander." Bear smiled at Hollieanda, his partner in crime and someone who he had mix feelings for. It was quite a balance, trying to understand exactly what he was feeling for the girl and at the same time, not wanting to get hurt again. Rosie blew him off which hurt him immensely, but was sure that it wasn't her intention to do so. Alexis.. was another figure he was avoiding around the castle but the one person he enjoyed spending time with was in face, Hollieanda.
"Its very avant garde." Bear thrusted his hands in his pockets as he studied her dress. It was unusual, but Bear liked the unusual. Someone that was in art and music could appreciate the unusual.
"I hope people come." Bear said softly as he looked down at the kindle and wood they prepared earlier. Bear knew how to set up a campfire, but all the magical borns and half-bloods were weary of the muggle way. They compromised in the end, thankfully.
In his own back pocket, he had letters leading up to the inevitable break up of him and Alexis. It was heart breaking to read again and Bear wanted to burn it up once and for all. He wanted to shed his past and only remember the good things, not the bad. He also wanted to move on.
"Well, if not. We'll just burn our bad memories and have a night of it." Bear smiled at Hollieanda.

Hollieanda smiled at Bear and pulled at her dress nervously. He looked handsome in his smart shirt and she felt a blush creeping up her cheeks. She pulled the letter from her parents from the front of her dress and waved it slightly.
"I hope they come too. I have my thing to burn so we should even if no one else comes but I really hope they do." She turned and stared hard at the doors again. "I think maybe if I stare hard enough then other people will show" She giggled softly and tugged nervously at her dress again.
She was so worried that people wouldn't show up. This was the first party she had ever planned, the first party she had been to that wasn't run by a school. It had been fun planning the party with Bear though.
"I know at least Damien will show up and I threated to throw animals at him if he didn't." She flashed a wicked grin at Bear and then blushed guiltily thinking it had been a little mean of her but she was glad that at least there was going to be Bear and Damien. She was especially glad of Bear, she was confused about him, she knew she liked him but she didn't know how to handle it at all.
"Uhm...I think we give people at least an hour maybe to show as I know some people are into the fashionably late here."
Eva Seivert
06-05-2010, 12:07 AM
Eva didn't want to miss a party thrown by her Ravenclaw friends, especially two that were always so nice to her. Bear was so talented, which Eva admired and was astonished how it never got to his head and Hollieanda was such a sweet girl even if she had every reason to be otherwise due to her unfortunate family situation. Besides for a few Ravenclaws, many of the other girls were all a bit catty for her taste, but it seemed that the cattiness of girls wasn't restricted to one house, like that wretched Finn from Slytherin house.
What did Eva ever due to her? Thinking of Finn of course, lead her to think of Dide, who was back at school and Eva was avoiding like the plague. Nothing good was going to come out of a meeting with him, and Finn, the stupid girl would be all over her in minutes. It wasn't like Eva welcomed his flirty attempts and stalk-ish nature.
Her head wandered as she smoothed out her royal blue dress that matched her eyes with a few extremely hurtful tabloids in her hands. Both Hollieanda and Bear were specific about bringing something to burn in the fire, and Eva was dutiful. She hated when the paparazzi took unfortunate photos of her on bad days and with male friends with the speculations that she was dating him. Really, didn't they have other celebrities to chase? Why her?
"Hey guys." She grinned at the two of them as she landed in step with them. They were the only two so far and Eva hoped more would show up. She knew Hollieanda and Bear spent a lot of time on the party, Hollieanda even more so. The girl had such a gentle soul and Eva just wanted everything to work out for her.
"Lovely decorations!" She smiled at the two of them and looked back at the castle. "People are certainly taking their time getting ready. I was just so impatient that I left without Angel. I hope she's not mad at me." She bit her lip and though secretly hoped Angel would come, she wished Marcus would come too.
Sebrena Abayomi
06-05-2010, 04:12 PM
Sebrena didn't want to miss this party for the world. She wanted a full write up about the events that happened tonight, as well as an interview from either Bear or Hollieanda. Hollieanda didn't seem to like her, but maybe Bear would.
She remained in room for a few extra minutes, making sure her hair wasn't fuzzy and that her dress was perfect. A light yellow halter top dress that ended a few inches above her knee. It was the shortest dress she ever worn, but she wanted the attention, namely from a Mr. Rocco Starr. Not that she would admit it to anyone else.
It was almost the most expensive dress she ever bought, and she knew she would hear about it from her mother soon. However, turning around to put on her strappy shoes in silver, the dress was worth it. With her jewelry in place, she made her way to the Entrance hall. She hoped she would run into Rocco but also had her paper and quill trailing behind her.
"It was a bright and sunny afternoon at Hogwarts. The famous bonfire party is set for tonight that Bear Nayet and Hollieanda Sparks, two Ravenclaws worked so hard on." She mused, her quill furiously writing her words.
"With specific instructions to take bad memories of the year past to burn in the fire, I take some memoirs of my own to toss." Holding in her purse were old papers from her old governess/ aunt who was incredibly strict and hard on Sebrena. It was a list of instructions to follow at Hogwarts, including no dating boys. Not that anyone was lined up to date her, not even Rocco. Not that she would, he was so conceited that she was sure he would stare at the mirror for the whole time. Not that she wouldn't admire him too.
Oh geez, she would NEVER admit that.
"How many people will show up tonight? Bear Nayet and Hollieanda Sparks, though well liked, aren't Angel C. Starr and Eva Seivert. Will they be able to pull this bonfire off?" She looked back at the note pad.
"Make that softer." She ordered it, and the pen scribbled Sebrena's words and wrote something else that could be used for the paper. She was the accurate journalist, not the gossip king like Seth, though Sebrena had a lot to learn from the guy. Everyone had strong opinions about him, mostly bad, but Sebrena didn't find him too off putting.
As she opened the doors, she found that only three people showed up. She walked towards them with her small purse in her hand.
"Hello!" She grinned at them.
Damian Cortez
06-05-2010, 04:59 PM
Damian ran down the stairs, heading for themain doors. He was running late for the party. everyone would be there and be started, and then he'd arrive everyone would turn and look at him and it would be really embarrasing. All because it took him 2 hours to fold up the piece of paper (with the picture of a griffle on it) up so he could burn it. Hollie was going to kill him. Or at least throw ... things at him. He visibly shuddered. he slowed to a walk before going through the doors. he opened the doors and stepped through, to find a small gathering, so far. they were still waiting for people. he sauntered over to Hollie, with a huge cheesey grin on his face.
"Heya Hollie! How goes, eh? i've got my thing" He proffered a folded square of white paper, which he held gingerly by the corner.
Hollieanda Spark

Hollie grinned at Eva and blushed as she complimented the decorations. She tugged at her dress again nervously but she felt so much better now that both Eva and Bear where there.
"I um, invited Marcus and gave him an extra prod about the part by the way" She addressed both Bear and Eva but the words were really for Eva. "I think he has some stuff to let go of also so yeah..." She coughed to herself and then turned around to look at the doors again as they opened.
Hollie smiled at Sebrena, she didn't really trust the girl or know her that well but she was pleased to see at least someone else. She tucked her hair behind her ear.
"Um, Hi Sebrena. Hey guys you think there is enough of us now to make it worth while cracking into the butterbeer?". The doors creaked again behind her and she grinned as Damien said his hellos and waved the small square of paper. She knew exactly what Damien was putting into the fire. Damien and Hollie had grown very close and where almost like siblings. She greeted him with a hug.
"Glad you came now I wont have to throw things at you." She giggled and smiled. Then turned back to the rest and smiled again. "So lets get the party started shall we?" She felt hot but not unpleasantly and she was smiling, everything was going ok so far.
Lucas Montgomery
08-05-2010, 03:44 AM
Lucas heard about the party his housemates were throwing and he contemplated not going. But seeing as it was an affair thrown by Ravenclaws, he wanted to be there and do what it took to make it memorable. Getting dressed, Lucas put on a simple white button down, with no tie. He threw on a nice sports coat and black slacks. He wasn't looking to be dashing, just well dressed and somewhat relaxed.
As he was about to leave the room, he reached for the tarot cards he kept on his shelf near the bed. However, he stopped himself and thought about it. Did he really need the cards to be there with him? They went with him everywhere and they usually seemed to be some sort of crutch to get a conversation started.
"No..." he muttered to himself. With that, he walked out of the room and left the cards behind. It felt odd, but it was something he was going to try.
Arriving at the party, Lucas gave a lot of smiles to his housemates. He walked up to Bear and gave a friendly handshake. "Hello, friend," he said with a smile. "I don't know why, but it feels like I haven't seen you in a while," he said with a laugh.
Nicky Bathurst
12-05-2010, 01:49 PM
Nicky crept along the hallways in perfect silence, Most of the teachers seemed lax about small parties. Still he didn't want to take any chances at getting caught.
Stalking up to the door he opened it slightly to peek out. Hollie was there, A ravenclaw student he met at the great hall. There was Lucas another ravenclaw student he met on the same day. In fact there were a lot of ravenclaws gathered along with some others he didn't quite know well, Even Eva Seivert.
Nicky spotted Sebrena and was glad that he knew someone here, Making sure his hood was in place securely. Nicky opened the door quietly and slowly made his way over to his friend while smiling shyly at everyone else.
"Hey Sebrena, Nice evening for a party eh."
Angel C. Starr
12-05-2010, 11:30 PM
Tonight was the night. The end. The grand finale.
That was what brought a smile to Angel's face as she styled her curls in front of a mirror. After tonight her farce of a relationship with Rocco would be over and she would be free to move on with Loki, who loved her. Loki was in love with her. She couldn't recite those words in her head enough times, after nearly a trillion times it still was fresh.
A new beginning indeed. Now if only she could throw Rocco into the fire. No, that was just cruel and she had no reason to be that hateful. Soon he'd be out of her life and she could just be happy. For once. Surely he had picked up on the hints that it wouldn't be too big of a surprise when she broke up with him. Typically she'd conduct herself in a more private manner, but knowing that Rocco was only dating her for publicity she was fine making a spectacle of the whole affair.
Picking out the perfect outfit Angel was wearing a flowing hot pink halter top, sheer below the bust that came to about mid thigh. Going more casual than usual she paired it with designer capri jeans and a pair of heeled sandals. Around her waist was a sparkly silver belt and she had matching jewelry to complete the look. With outdoor parties you never knew what could happen.
She smiled remembering a certain party where Loki had thrown her in the lake, starting their relationship. She had mentioned the party casually in one of her many letters to him and was secretly hoping he might be able to attend. Angel was certain he was busy, the life of a professional Quidditch player.
Before heading out of the castle Angel grabbed some papers and put them in her back pocket. Articles, mostly ones about her relationship with Rocco. When she reached the growing party she headed over to Eva.
"Hello everybody! Guess it took longer to get ready than I planned, I got caught up looking at myself in the mirror. I guess Rocco's rubbing off on me." Angel joked, wondering when her 'boyfriend' was planning to show.

Hollie smiled brightly at Angel and Nicky as she noticed they had arrived. They where just waiting for a few people now. She had busied herself making sure the food was all there and that there was plenty of drinks to go around. Now she turned to Bear and coughed slightly.
"Um, shall we get the fire started now? If we make it big enough and tend it we can keep it going all night if anyone is really really late."She pointed to the fire pit she had made earlier in the day of cleared grass and a large circle of sizable rocks surrounding the bare earth.
Bear Nayet
13-05-2010, 02:43 AM
Bear beamed at Eva as she arrived and compliments on the party and the decorations. He smiled when she mentioned she left without Angel and as Eva talked, more students came. Sebrena, the new journalist for the Snitch, Lucas, his best friend, Damian, a boy he hadn't met before, Nicky and finally Angel.
Bear furrowed his brow at Damian and Hollieanda's interaction. Were they flirting? Why was Hollieanda giggling? Why did he even care? Bear thought to himself. Girls had many guy friends.. it didn't mean that they liked them all. Right?
Bear smiled at Damian and nodded at Hollieanda. "Sounds like a plan. Lets light the fire." He started to walk towards the clearing to light the fire.
Hollieanda Spark
13-05-2010, 04:28 AM
Hollie followed Bear over towards the clearing for the fire. She looked at him side ways and blushed slightly, hoping he wouldn't catch her looking. She felt so confused. She felt like she wanted to reach out and take Bear's hand but she didn't know if he wanted that or if he even liked her that way, what if he saw her more as a sister like she saw Damien as a brother. She knelt down on the blanket she had laid out ready for setting the fire and began to lay small sticks in the middle of the circle. She looked at Bear again and blushed.
"Suppose there are some benefits to be being brought up as a muggle...I got to go to Brownies and Girl Guides and they teach you stuff like making fires without magic." She giggled nervously and blushed, she felt a little hot all over looking at Bear.
Franz Kaiser
16-05-2010, 11:44 PM
Other than the fact that everyone at school was invited, Franz also heard about the party from Bear. He thought he should make an appearance. He was over working out all the time to clear his thoughts. This was a great step to forget all about Eva, considering this was a New Beginnings Party.
He did have something to burn. Though he never told anyone he had it, and wasn't quite sure why he decided to take it off the floor when it happened, and actually kept it. It was a little ripped piece of a Slytherin bed sheet. It was from that day when Eva had been walking around in a bedsheet, and then was clumsy enough to get herself all tangled up, and ripped the bedsheet in to a million pieces. Yes, he did run out of that situation as soon as he possibly could, but he remember having to pass by that hallway that same day, and the elves must've not overlooked that one piece of cloth. So, he took it.
Wearing a pair of khakis and a blue plaid button down, he had the piece of cloth in his pockets, and walked out in to the lawn. It looked like several people were already there. And unfortunately, so was Eva. But he couldn't avoid her forever. He decided to ignore her and walked over next to Bear, unaware that Hollieanda was speaking to him.
"Hey, man. Nice party you got here." He said.
Dide Caerlaverock
19-05-2010, 07:13 PM
Dide kept wondering if going to the party was such a good idea or not. Eva was going to be there and a whole bunch of other drama as soon as he arrived... Though he was invited and it wasn't like he was crashing the party or anything. He sighed as he paced around in the boy's common room in the Ravenclaw tower. Looking out the window he saw that people were arriving towards the bonfire.
Dide's eyes caught a glimpse of red from below and he just knew that it was Eva Seveirt. There was no mistaking that red. His stomach twisted into knots. Did he really want to experience the humiliation? He was just going to turn around and start getting ready for bed when he remembered that Sadie was normally everywhere Eva was... Sadie was going to be at the party. Why did it take a year away from Hogwarts to really notice how pretty that little Russian dancer was? Finn also wasn't helping as she would bring up the little dancer every now and then. It pleased Dide to see that his sister was trying to make friends with people who were not in his house, but did it have to be Sadie?
As Dide was thinking about all this he didn't realize that after he changed out of his robes he had put on a pair jeans and a black t-shirt. Well, if he was already dressed, might as well go. Now he just needed to find something to burn into the fire... That was easy. Going over to his bed he lifted up his matteress to find what would be the equivalent of his "shrine" to the red-headed model. Dide was actually shocked to see how many pictures of her he had from magazine clippings... and was that a lock of red hair?! He himself did not remember taking a lock from Eva's head, but there was a chance that it was from Thom and not Eva. Oh yes, he was a sick little boy... er, man now. There was no way he could just walk down there with all this stuff! He would look like a crazy person and he was doing this for himself, not for Eva or anyone else. Dide took the pillow case off his pillow and dumped the photos and lock of hair or any other trinkets he might have snatched. He was about to tie the bag closed when he spotted a picture from one of Eva's many photoshoots, only it was of her and some of her closet friends. After pausing for a moment he took the page out and stuffed it back under the mattress and then tied the bag back up before heading down to the party.
Once Dide was outside, he was scanning for anyone he knew... or at least anyone he knew that wasn't going to ostracize him. Standing up tall he tossed his dark locks back (no longer purple, in case anyone is confused, i need a new siggy) so that only a few pieces of hair fell into his eyes. He walked towards the party, not really looking at anyone, he found a spot to sit where he figured he wouldn't be noticed.
Sadie Magnas
19-05-2010, 08:21 PM
Sadie was not that far behind Angel. Sadie was working on that lesson plan that Professor Loveless put her in charge of. It was actually surprisingly simple, but she was only half way done. Normally Sadie would have just stayed up in her room and finished the project, but its been so long since she socialized that she wanted to go and see what this party was all about. There was a bonfire and Sadie knew that they were supposed to bring something to put into the fire.
Sighing, Sadie knew exactly what she was going to put into the fire. The letters she sent Mason, that were sent back to her. It was time to just take anything of his that reminded her of him and just get rid of it... but it was so hard to. So hard to just let go of something... of something that meant so much to her. Gathering the letters, she decided that she was going to take them, but she would decide what she was going to do with them when she got there. If she wanted to let them go, then she would, but if she couldn't...
Dressed in a baby-t and skinny jeans, Sadie made her way to the party. Her hair was pulled back, but her bangs blew in the breeze as the wind picked up. It did not take her long to find her friends, Eva and Angel. Sadie then started to sprint towards them, which was not a good idea in the wedged heeled sandals she was wearing. Sadie stepped on a stone and lost her balance and toppled into one of close friends.
"Oof!... Sorry..." Sadie blushed bright red as she stood back up and regained her balance.
Nicky Bathurst
20-05-2010, 05:39 AM
Nicky looked around as the party started to get bigger within each minute that passed, Just about everyone had he had ever seen around the halls has shown up, Thankfully still none of the teachers had arrived just to snoop on everything.
Nicky spotted Dide, At least he think it was Dide. "Be right back Sebrena." He called out as he walked towards Dide's direction. Oddly enough Finn wasn't around yet, Angel arrived but Rocco wasn't in tow with her, In fact he hadn't seen the guy since the restaurant incident. Making another sweep of the guests with his eyes, He figured that Dante probably wouldn't show up. It was then that he noticed Miss Magnus who stumbled and toppled into someone.
He had hoped she didn't injure herself again, Miss magnus had broken her nose some time ago if he remembered correctly during his shift in the infirmary.
Continuing to walk forward he sat next to Dide and lifted his hood back. "Hey there, You made it to the party....But you don't seem to be mingling to much though." Nicky tilted his head and smiled, Perhaps Dide was shy or didn't know how to join in after he's been gone for so long.
Marcus Drake
21-05-2010, 09:00 PM
These last few weeks had been hell for him. The dreams were getting worse and his change had left him feeling like a zombie. He'd pretty much avoided everyone like the plague had struck them down. He spent pretty much most of his time tilling the soil in the vegetable patches or herding the Magical creatures for the school classes. He was easing into his role as the Groundskeepers assistant well and he figured he'd be staying at the school until he was old enough to apply to either further education in the care for magical creatures or until he could work for the Ministry in the same department.
Since everything that had happened before he had alot to get rid of. He had two wands stowed away in a rosewood box in his dorm room along with an assortment of other items. It was time to forget who he was, it was time for a new start. It was time to give up the name Drake and everything it meant.
Hollie had cornered him on his way back from the dining hall one night and interrogated him into coming to the party. He'd only agree'd to get her to lighten up on him, but he figured he could do with some company after being in solitude for so long.
He couldn't find the right words to say to Eva after all that had happened, so he did what Marcus was best at, he said nothing at all.
He'd discovered Dide was back in enrolement at the school and that made his mouth taste bitter. He was past being angry at the world but he still harboured a special dislike for the boy.
Marcus had been taking regular trips to Men-A-Tol in the north of England to feel a slither of freedom he'd had whilst travelling Europe and in part, to ease his soul from the blood shed and murder he'd commited. He didn't feel any ties to Russia now, after all the dread and blood that had been spilt. This was his home now and these were his friends and family. He should start treating them better.
Hollie was right. New beginnings is what was needed.
He made his way across the school grounds, a pair of stone wash jeans upon his long legs, a pair of muddy hiking boots upon his feet. His top half was wrapped in a thin white button shirt, half open to reveal his broad chest, but mostly due to the fact he'd been hard at work all day and was hot from the excertion. He had the sleeves rolled up and his hair was untied and brushed back away from his face, tumbling in natural forming frames either side of his face. In one hand he carried a crate of beer, the other was wrapped around the bulk of a wooden box craddled under his arm.
It was time to burn some bad memories.
He approached the group from the other direction, heading towards Hollie and Bear, he offered a smile to everyone he passed. He set the crate of bottled beer down and ripped the top of the crate open and gestured for people to help themselves.
Bear Nayet
21-05-2010, 09:55 PM
Bear was oblivious to what was going on with Franz in concerns to Eva and grinned when he appeared next to him.
"Right? Being muggle born does have its benefits." Bear laughed at Hollieanda as she prepared herself to start the fire. Bear's father was magical, but he basically grew up on a Native American Muggle reservation. He looked back at Franz and nodded.
"Thanks. We tried our best. I hope you have a great time." Bear didn't know Franz that well, but he had a good reputation for being a cool guy, and so Franz was all right with Bear.
Eva Seivert
21-05-2010, 10:05 PM
Eva grinned at Angel's presence. She was glad that she came and though she joked about Rocco rubbing off on her, Eva knew better. She went over to stand next to Angel and gave her a side hug. With that Hollieanda and Bear gestured everyone to go the bon fire, and Eva followed them down to the pit.
The appearance of the next few characters took Eva for a loop. Franz arrived and just when Eva decided to open her mouth, Franz walked past her and towards Bear. She furrowed her brow but before she could say anything to Angel, her eyes widened at another person who joined the party. He wasn't making himself known, but Eva could spot that stature from anywhere. Sure he didn't have his violet hair anymore, but it was still Dide.
She looked over at Angel with her eyes in alarm, and completely missed Sadie bumping into Dide because then there was Marcus, who had something for everyone to drink. They spent a little bit together, but it seemed Marcus was going through something that Eva couldn't relate too. Being an orphan due to killing your evil family in a brutal way wasn't in Eva's past.. and Marcus was never the type to talk about it.
She smiled shyly to him from across the bonfire with a small wave and looked over at Angel again. "It seemed that everyone has something to burn." She said softly, still unaware of the pairing between Sadie and Dide.
Hollieanda Spark
21-05-2010, 10:32 PM
Hollie smiled, to herself as she finished setting the kindling wood against the fire in the pit and handed the matches to Bear a blush on her cheeks. The party was turning out good so far, most people seemed to be there. She noticed Marcus as she looked up and smiled in his direction, happy that he was there, she had known he needed it even though she knew so little of him, it was written all over him. People where starting to wonder over to the fire area.
"Um, when we get the fire going um we can put on the things we want to burn, theres no need to say anything but if you want to um you can, but I think its best we go one at a time". She blushed bright red, she was uncomfortable talking to so many people at once. She looked down to hide the blush but there was Bear and so she blushed harder.

Marcus caught Eva's shy little wave and the way her lips turned. It tugged something inside him and he felt awkward. He hated not letting her into his closure but he was going through something she just wouldn't understand. This was a new beginning for him though and somethings just had to be revealed.
No more secrets, thats what they had decided on. He wasn't running anymore, he wasn't going to lie. She deserved to know everything.
He smiled back at her, it was all full of conflicting emotion. He felt more for her than she truly knew. More than she would probaly understand.
He would take her aside and talk to her tonight. She deserved to know.
He looked at the fire, the blazing flames and how they were going to clean him of his past. He wasn't going to be the first, no. This was far too symbolic to him to just be thrown onto the pile.
Eva Seivert would find out just how much blood was on Marcus hands.
Dide Caerlaverock
22-05-2010, 03:37 AM
Looking up Dide saw Nicky, Finn's friend. He seemed like an ok kid. Rather fond of the hood, but there were more stranger students than Nicky that it didn't concern him too much. He was happy to see a friendly face, even if he didn't know the kid too well.
"Hi Nicky-" The greeting was cut short as a Russian ballerina landed onto his back. As soon as her body came into contact with his he braced himself. The impact did cause Dide's body to jerk a bit but he held himself there pretty well and as soon as Sadie started to slide down her arms were trying to hold onto his body to keep from her body falling any further. He grabbed onto whatever arms that she put around him to help her from falling.
Sorry...
He heard her voice and he knew who it was. He could smell her light perfume waft in the breeze. There was a weird tight feeling in his chest. Carefully he turned his body and moved over to allow Sadie to sit down, though her back was now to the fire. "How is it you are so light on your feet on the stage in ballet shoes, but you take two steps outside in... whatever those are and you can barely walk?"
Dide was teasing her in a playful way and gave her a bit of a grin just to make sure she understood that it was a joke. Hopefully she wasn't going to be too sensitive about it. "Do you know Nicky? Nicky, this is the school's Prema-Ballerina." Dide was unaware that Nicky and Sadie knew each other and that it involved a broken nose.

Nicky, Not paying attention to what was happening around him, Was surprised when Dide suddenly caught Sadie into his arms.
Dide's following playful jibe towards Sadie made Nicky raise his eyebrow in bemusement.
"Yes I have met Miss Magnus briefly, During her time in the infirmary." Not waiting to see Dide's reaction to the statement, Nicky examined Sadie's ankles from a distance. Nothing seemed to be sprained or twisted. It was just a bit of a rough stumble.
"I did not know however that she was a ballerina." He smiled looking at the both, He didn't know much about the schools other activities. He needed to not be as much of a shut it anymore.

Eva's eyes brightened when Marcus returned the acknowledgement. Eva turned and nodded to Hollieanda's announcement though her own thing to burn wasn't so important to go one at a time. She smiled at Angel and moved over to where Marcus was, but on her way, she finally noticed Dide, with Sadie. Eva stopped mid-step and just stared in disbelief that Dide was hanging around with Sadie out of all people.
She didn't know what to do and she turned her head towards Marcus again with a very worried look on her face. Of course, Eva dealt with much for trying things like her brother in jail, but Dide wasn't a picnic in the park. Couldn't he just leave everyone well enough alone? It was almost like in the Caerlaverock genes.. Finn was just as annoying, not even more annoying than Dide.
She fiddled with her dress a few moments and then held her head high and walked the rest of the way to Marcus. She didn't noticed Franz next to Bear- Dide's presence shook her up.
"Hi. Nice to see you out." Eva tried to brighten her voice as much as possible but she couldn't help thinking about Dide. Why did he have to be here? Hopefully he didn't try to talk to her the entire night because Eva wasn't sure what she would do. And why was Sadie sitting on his lap? Should Eva say something to her, AKA rip her out of Dide's grasp and hex the bejesus out of the dark haired boy?
"Nice of you to bring something for everyone." Eva said as she bent over to get a drink out of the box.

Even after all this time, she still blew him away whenever she came towards him. He didn't know what it was, even without her nice dresses or her make up, even when she had just woken up in the morning she excited him as much as she had the moment he first claped eyes upon her. She had a natural beauty he'd come to admire.
He frowned when she stopped and when he followed her gaze his face darkened. He still held the black look when she appeared beside him and spoke. He promised he wouldn't say anything to Dide but the more he saw the other male, the more that promise was erroding.
He turned back to Eva and stepped forward, slipping an arm around her waist and planting a quick kiss upon her forehead before detatching himself and bending down to the case of beer.
" Yea', I figured I dont do much for people so least I could do was bring some drinks. "
He stood up and used a opener upon his long link of keys to pop the beer open.
" I'm sorry about being an arse, its just with everything thats been happening and working for the school.....its all a bit stress inducing...and I dont cope well with the stress...and if you were around... "
He frowned and looked down into the beer, trying to string a sentence together.
" I suppose I didn't want to hurt you. "

Sadie was bright red as soon as she felt Dide's arms circle around her and then pull her into his lap. Sadie had seen a lot of guys and girls sitting this way, but she never sat this way with any guy, not even the ones she dated. It made her feel weird. She scooted herself out of his laps and arms and sat down on the log, still next to Dide but not as close. Sadie had completely missed Dide's comment about her feet.
Turning her head up she saw her hooded friend from the hospital wing. "Hi Nicky." The unopened letters were still in her hands and she was fingering them in a nervous way. Yes she forgave Dide, but wasn't this whole being buddy-buddy thing moving a bit fast? Maybe it just made things easier for him to just go an pretend nothing happened.
"You didn't know that I danced? I got accepted to the royal ballet academy and have been doing a few performances. The last one most of the school came. It was very interesting and probably my favor piece that I have done so far. I'm still waiting to preform Giselle."

Lucas was never a huge fan of parties but did his best to enjoy the ones he went to. And with this being a party from his own house, he felt very out of place for some reason. The room almost seemed like a reminder of failures in his life, with all of the people present.
He wanted to hang with Bear, but could see he was enjoying time with Hollieanda. A small pang of jealousy hit him but he let it pass as he knew he should be happy for his best friend. But then seeing Sadie in Dide's lap didn't help his mood any more. He felt utterly alone and it killed him inside.
Why did he have to be the one screwed up in the head? He didn't have to be this way. The point of the party was New Beginnings. He needed to start over but not be this fake person he was when he sported the blue hair. Something needed to be put in the fire and he new what it was he had to sacrifice. But would he have fortitude to do it?
For a moment, Lucas slipped back upstairs to his room and looked down at his desk. The cards were there looking at him. Throwing them into the fire would certainly demonstrate something...but would it be a new beginning?
As if in slow motion, Lucas picked up the deck and headed back down to the party. He could hear the music and the people talking, but it was muffled. He looked through people he knew as he made his way to the fire. His cards were very visible in his hand as he stopped and took a long look at the flames.

Looking through his trunk he finally found the bag he was looking for, it was a simple green backpack. Grabbing it he stuffed the things he wanted to burn in the pack and trotted down the staircase in the tower. Kel had been doing catch up work for school, but for the last hour had been a non-stop searching for the bag. It was not hard to find something that he wanted to burn, but it had to be that bag to carry it. I’m gettin’ too particular about things. Kel mused to himself as he made his way down and out of the Gryffindor area to go to the party. He hoped that he wasn’t too terribly late of the party, then again fashionably late is fashionable, or something to that effect. As he was making his way to the grounds his sneakers had come untied and started almost flopping off his feet when he reached the grassy area. Tying his shoelaces he noticed that he had kicked some dirt onto his jeans.
“Aw, I just cleaned them.” Kel said to himself.
He looked down at his shirt, he could not see any dirt on his grey t-shirt, but then again he couldn’t turn his head like an owl. With his bag slung over his right shoulder he made his way to the group. A good bit of students had circled around where the fire would be. He could make out Eva from her hair, and was that Lucas? Kel was about to call out his name to say hello, but decided against it. Making his way over to one of the logs near the group he sat down and took in the happenings.

Parker had been planning on using the luxury of the empty Ravenclaw common room to really crack down and study that evening, but her mind just wasn't in it tonight. She watched a few of the other students leave for the bonfire party, and that made up her mind. Even though she really didn't know many people yet and she hadn't strictly been invited, she guessed that it would be okay to attend the party since it was basically an open invitation to the whole school. Plus, it would be a good place to meet people. Looking out the window and down on the grounds, she could just barely see a small fire. They must have just lit it. Heading back up to her room to drop off her books, she tried to think of what she could bring to burn. 'New beginnings,' the party had been called. Well, she was certainly beginning something...
Realizing what she could burn, Parker shuffled through a folder of papers in her trunk until she found the letter her mother received after asking the school Headmistress for permission to send her daughter in her fourth year instead of her first. That Parker was gone now, so it was time to get rid of her. Deciding just to stay in her uniform, Parker lost the sweater and tie, figuring it would be too warm out around the fire. Dressed simply in her white button-down and gray skirt, hand clutching the letter, she remembered to grab her wand and headed outside.
The fire had grown since she peeked out of the window, and it looked like people were gathering around it and getting ready to throw in their items. She stood near the back of the group, a bit away from the others, watching and waiting to see what was going on.
Nicky Bathurst

Nicky blinked rapidly as Sadie explained her experiences and accomplishments. She seemed shy in the infirmary, It takes a lot of confidence and determination to perform in front of people. There was more to Sadie than meets the eye.
"Wow Miss Magnus, I didn't know any of that. I'll be sure to see your next performance...That is I can pry myself away from my studies and my recent streak of being a recluse."
Movement up ahead had caught Nicky's attention, Two students that Nicky hadn't met arrived, He only glanced them in the great hall briefly. What really caught his attention though was the sight of Lucas, Who seemed to be on a reclusive streak of his own. Lucas was staring down at the flames, Tarot cards clasped in his hand.
The crackling of the fire prompted Nicky to remember what he had brought for the fire. Reaching into his robe pocket, He pulled out a small vile filled with a dark pink elixir.
It had been a failure of an concoction, A waste of effort, time and resources. It was a potion that was meant to help with confessing ones most inner feelings. The dosage had been to weak, The result had turned out to be nothing but a mild truth serum.
Not wanting to have another dud like this, Nicky tossed it into the fire unaware and unconcerned with the consequences it might exude, The flames had grew slightly and hissed as if the wood was exhaling.

Lucas kept thinking about it. Did he really want to toss these cards into the fire. Maybe there was something else he could part with. But if held on to these cards all the time, it would seem as though they were crutch. There was a slight moment, where Lucas was distracted by the sight of a familiar and a not so familiar face.
There was a girl who he thought was in his house but wasn't sure. She, like a few others, was waiting to toss something into the fire. The other face was that of Nicky whom he'd spoken with a few times before. He watched as he tossed a vial of something into the fire. The reaction from the fire was interesting and he could hear a hiss from the fire. He thought there was a smell in the air that wasn't burning wood..but he couldn't put his finger on it.
"Nicky, I don't want to pry...but what was that?" he asked the Slytherin. He gave a slight cough and then shook his head for a second. He felt a tiny bit dizzy, but it passed. "Out with the old, eh?" he said with a small smile.
"I'm going to toss these tarot cards into the fire but I don't really want to. I guess I'm just looking for some attention," he said and then his eyes went wide. Why did he say that out loud? He instinctively put a hand up to his mouth and looked down at the fire.

A voice spoke up, Lucas had noticed what Nicky had thrown away.
"That was a failed experiment, Harmless, And it means I'm gonna have to work harder next time." Nicky shrugged his shoulders indifferently and was about to ask what Lucas would throw into the fire when the ravenclaw suddenly blurted out something Nicky did not think he intended to say.
Lucas covered his mouth in slight shock, By this time Nicky's brain was suddenly bursting into overdrive. The serum was absorbed into the wood, And expelled out into the air.
Luckily the party was taking place in an open space, If it was enclosed the effects would have been more concentrated and severely adverse.
Quickly thinking of something to say, Nicky looked up towards Lucas and smiled while clapping lightly. "Good for you Lucas, It's the perfect night to be honest and expressive."
If people didn't inhale to much or if they didn't breath outside of what was their normal rhythm, Everything should be alright.
And Since everyone seemed to be having a good time, Nothing should happen. At least that's what Nicky assured himself.
((ooc: idk how this warped into play, I wasn't thinking thoroughly enough when i was typing earlier, im trying to make it so its not god modding, anyone can choose to have their character infected or not, sorry about that.))

Lucas looked up from the fire to Nicky. A failed experiment? It made him wonder what the experiment was supposed to do but at the moment, he was trying to keep things in his mind from just spilling out of his mouth.
"Honest and expressive?" Lucas said confused. "I'm always honest, expressive not so much. I just don't want these cards to rule my life!" he said hold them up and speaking a tone louder than he should.
"I'm a slave to these things and my visions! What I wouldn't give to be normal," he said with a sigh. "Look at all the girls here. Half of them wouldn't give me the time of day 'cause I'm Lucas the Loon!"
Lucas balled up his fist with the tarot cards in them and turned to the fire.
((OOC: Nicky, that may have been partly my fault. I got the impression that's where you were headed with the potion being thrown in the fire. But if you want it affect only one or two people, that's good. I figured it was going to bring some funny consequences at the Ravenclaws' first attempt at a party. lol))

((OOC: Haha. I laughed out loud. People can choose what they want to do, though I think it would be a bit funny that a few people, or everyone.. or just Lucas confessed their feelings.. new beginnings indeed.))
Eva bit her lip and looked down at her feet when Marcus announced that he didn't do much for people and then apologized for being distant from Eva. She looked up at him with a half smile and shrugged her shoulders. Was it weird that Eva hadn't heard Marcus utter the word sorry very often?
"Its ok. We all get stressed sometimes." Eva said after a few minutes of silence breathing in the peculiar scent of the fire. It was wood and smoke with cinnamon? Why would Bear and Hollieanda put cinnamon into the fire?
"Well, whats the point of us trying to get back together when you can't even tell me when you're stressed?" Eva blurted out and then furrowed her brows at what just happened. Did she say that out loud? She titled her head, moved her eyes back and forth and decided that she really didn't say anything that could potentially scare Marcus off again. It was just a really loud inner thought.
"It seems I never know anything about your life, or what you are doing, where you are going or even what you're thinking! You don't have to check in with me, but at least it would be helpful to be included in more of your life instead of being put on a pedestal! You always announce that I'm too fragile to know anything about you!"
As Eva's lips moved, her eyes widened and covered her mouth with both of her hands and shook her head furiously. She really just said all of that to Marcus?Tthe one time she could finally get him out and alone and for pete's sake, apologizing for his actions, Eva had to dump all of her inner most feelings right in front of everyone.
"I am so sorry." Eva blurted out again, turning red and eyes watering. She looked back at everyone, hoping that all the students were too involved with each other to notice what Eva had said.

Nicky widened his eyes, Had Lucas's statements been a result of the serum or something that was deep within him that was emerging out.
Standing up Nicky crossed over to the fire next to Lucas while keeping calm and composed.
"Can you really throw away a part of yourself? A lot of things try and rule over us, But we must be the ones to rule over them."
Before Nicky could start another sentence, Eva started raising her voice a bit. He had a feeling it was gonna be a very long night.

Marcus just stood there.
Shocked. His mouth hung slightly agape, his eyes were wide and he held the beer bottle half way from his mouth.
His head was spinning. She had just laid bare to him right there infront of everyone in such a nonchalant way. Damn, he knew he'd been closed off from her but what he had to say wasn't your average relationship problem.
He lifted his other hand and ran it through his hair, half turning away from her and inhaling a deep breath. It choked his throat with firesmoke. He pulled a wince and spluttered out the strange fumes before setting down his beer on the grass.
He turned back to Eva, still looking for all the world like a lost lamb.
" I'm sorry you feel that way Eva, but I didn't want you getting hurt. "
He looked at her, fixing her eyes and stepping infront of her to try and stop her running. He lifted one hand and placed his fingers gently upon her arm.
" Honestly, I didn't want to involve you because its not your business. You had enough to deal with, your family was tearing itself apart and I was never good enough for you to begin with. "
He shrugged one shoulder, but looking shocked at what he was saying.
" I guess what i'm trying to say is that i'm the son of a dark wizard. My dad ran with Voldemort, i'm a werewolf who's already nearly killed some of the students here. I'm on the verge of being locked away because of what I've done here but thats nothing compared to what I did when I went home. "
He took his hand away and turned back to the fire.
" I told you I fell out with the family and divorced myself from them...well thats true in a way.. theres now none of them left to complain. You know the Killing curse really isn't that bad when you get the hang of it. Hell, its actually damn useful when someone else is trying to rip your head from your shoulders. "
He looked back at her and all the light just seemed to drain out of him. He looked haggard, aged and worn.
" I've nothing left, i've killed everyone who was my family because they were going to kill me, you and probaly everyone who ever had any contact with me. Damn, they'd probaly have gone after Thom, Loki and your dad too if I hadn't have stopped them. I'm not proud of what i've done, but i'm not sorry either. I've killed people Eva Sievert, I have to stop myself tearing you to pieces when you come out into the forest at night because the changes are getting worse and good god i've just let it all out, infront of everyone, haven't I? "
He stood there, silent and he slowly turned his head to gaze at those assembled.
" Well....shit. "
Eva Seivert

Well, what Marcus said next was a complete shock to Eva. She stood there with her hands over her mouth listening to Marcus and baring his soul to the entire bonfire. Eva felt very exposed and tears streamed down her face as he continued to talk. She knew that he killed people, but to actually have him admit it, was an out-of-body experience. She felt guilty, embarrassed, horrified and sick at the prospect that along with other emotions, that at one point, was angry at him for leaving her. She had all these fantasies and nightmares about what he was doing, but they were all a silly witch's dream.
All because he didn't have a choice. The Drake family would have expanded and gotten worse and done worse if he hadn't stopped them. As Eva looked at Marcus, she felt very foolish. A foolish girl that had everything handed to her on a plate and even when her own family was being torn apart, Marcus was dealing with much worse.
"I'm sorry." Eva said quietly and stared down at her feet again. "I'm sorry you had to do that alone, but you are not alone, Marcus. You were never alone and I'm sick of you acting like the renegade loner when its clear that I've been here waiting for you!" She stamped her foot and couldn't believe with what she was saying.
She screamed at herself to shut up and thankfully it worked. Deep down inside, she knew that it was Marcus and Marcus alone that had to do it. Eva couldn't have helped Marcus, as much as she would want to fight with him about it.
"I thought you were dead! So much so, I was trying to get over you when you came back!" Eva exclaimed loudly and flicked back her hair to the whole bonfire. She didn't care who was listening, even Franz. She took a giant sip of beer and looked back at Marcus.
"I don't know what made me admit that to you. Well, shit indeed."
Dide Caerlaverock
24-05-2010, 12:35 AM
Dide was about to ask Sadie what she was doing in the infirmary until she moved off and away from him. He heard that when he first left she had broken her ankle, but it seemed like they were talking about something more recent. The girl looked fine, he thought as Sadie slide off of his lap. To be honest he didn't even notice that he plopped the girl right into his thighs... she just kind of landed there. It obviously made her uncomfortable, so as she moved away from him he let go of her arms that he was holding from when he caught her.
Clearing his throat he looked down at his bag of Eva Severit paraphernalia. He listened to Sadie and Nicky talking... which turned into Nicky and Lucas talking. Dide glanced up and eyed the Lucas boy. Dide did not know him too well other than Lucas was a housemate and dated Sadie for a period of time. Dide also knew that he and Thom were not on the best of terms as the two rubbed each other the wrong way. This of course were things he heard about.
His attention went from Nicky and Lucas, to Eva and Marcus. Dide really didn't want to look like he was still drooling over the model, but it was hard not to two at the two of them as they were confessing and getting louder in the process. Breaking his gaze from the two, Dide thought this was the best time to just get up and toss the whole bag into the fire while everyone was busy watching the couple. He would have to get a new pillowcase.
Throwing the bag into the fire, Dide breathed in... The fire smelled... scented some how. It was very interesting and very light. Must been a girly thing. He watched as the bag burned and it's contents. Surprizingly it burned quicker than he thought it would, and he could smell burnt hair from the lock of hair that was in the bag.
"Burnt feathers..." He thought out loud what he thought the smell smelled like.
Hollieanda Spark
24-05-2010, 01:02 AM
Hollieanda saw Nicky throw the pink bottle on the fire. It smelt like incence and Hollie assumed it must be. She was stood near to Bear still, so close infact she could feel the heat from him against her arm. She looked up into his face. She opened her mouth to speak and words came tumbling out.
"I really like you Bear, like like you, as in not just as a friend." Her face turned red, that wasn't what she had meant to say, infact she really hadn't wanted to blurt that out at all. Her eyes blurred with tears, she just knew he would reject her. She knew Bear would never laugh at her, he wasn't cruel but he would pity her and that was almost worse.
"I...I...I love you." The words sounded strained, she hadn't meant to say that either and she had tried to stop herself. She felt hot and cold all over, she was going to cry, she just knew it. She wouldn't, not in front of anyone any more. She turned and she began to run, not really to anywhere, just away from Bear before he could shoot her down, she was so certain he would.
Jude Paxton
24-05-2010, 02:10 AM
Jude had stumbled onto the little get together that was happening. Over his shoulder was a duffle bag. Jude had played a little bit of hooky from school. There was no practice schedule for the week, and Jude's father senses were going off like crazy and he really wanted to see his little girl and more for than just 2 days.
As Jude was walking towards the party there was something different about him. If Jude had any close friends at Hogwarts, they would notice that Jude was smiling. Jude smiled, but he wasn't known for walking around with a smile on his face for everyone to see. It was a good week at home and something he needed very much. Lilly had spoken her first word, sadly Jude wasn't there for the first time, but she repeated it while he was home, and for him it was just as good to just hear Lilly forming words.
As he got closer Jude pulled out a cigarette and lit it. The whole week he was at home he didn't smoke, and he supposed at that point he might as well have just quit right then... Funny how people do the opposite of what they should do. Still that little cancer stick felt like something he needed after a good week.
His happy mood turned into one of confusion as he got closer and started watching the scenes that were being displayed. Eva and... some guy with dark hair were talking with voices raised. Another boy also seemed to be getting excited. Another boy threw something into the fire. What exactly was going on here?
Parker Harrison
24-05-2010, 02:39 AM
Parker watched as a number of students threw their items into the fire. Many of them were starting to talk loudly with each other, especially those around the fire. Their voices blended together and she couldn't make anything out, but figured that they were all just partying. There was a open case of beer that she could see, which probably explained much of the loudness. Shaking her head and smiling slightly - hopefully the party wouldn't get too out of hand, though maybe that was normal for Hogwarts - she headed around the back edge of the group to take a seat on one of the empty logs set around the party.
There were still a number of students around the fire, so she decided to hold onto her letter a bit and see if she find anyone she knew. She saw quite a few students she recognized as Ravenclaws, but didn't know any of their names. She had heard that two Ravenclaws named Hollieanda and Bear had put the party together, so she figured she should look for those two when she got a chance, at least to thank them for a nice party. Though if things did turn out crazy, they might not want thanks. She giggled quietly to herself.
Looking around, she saw a girl in a cute lolita-style dress hurrying away from the fire, looking upset. She watched her, looking where the girl had run from and started moving a bit closer to her. If none of this girl's friends saw that she was upset, someone should try to help her out. Maybe she was emotional from burning her memory? Parker hadn't seen her throw something in, but that didn't mean anything.
Gritting her teeth against chickening out, Parker approached her. "Are you alright? Do you need anything?"
Franz Kaiser

((Sorry!!! Got super busy!! Oh man I missed out so much, things are heating up!!!!!)
Unaware that another episode of past drama had just walked in the door, Franz watched as a black-haired guy he'd never seen before walk towards the party. If the guy was new, he sure didn't act like it. Though, he didn't particularly greet anyone.
Soon, he was distracted. Since the next guy of the party, was someone who personally never did anything to him, but he just could not bring himself to like. Actually, not even to like. To feel NOTHING for. He felt... what was this feeling? He watched as Marcus approached the group with a crate of bottled beer and gestured everyone to have some. As much as Franz usually wanted one, he wanted no part in it.
Franz snuck a peek at Eva waving at Marcus and turned away quickly. She made no attempt to say hi to him. Suddenly, she started to walk in his general direction, and he couldn't help but get a glimpse of hope. However, it soon disappeared as he noticed it was not to come talk to him. He stared at everyone but Eva for a while, until she started yelling at Marcus. Everyone could hear this, but Marcus and Eva didn't seem to care.
This was the first time he heard the two talk about their relationship. About the problems they've had. Franz had heard many many things from rumors, but this was the real thing and he knew it, and he didn't want to listen... but he couldn't bring himself to leave.
Suddenly, Franz started feeling strange. Did the fire smoke just get stronger? Or was Franz just sick from hearing the disgusting love birds confess their feelings for each other?
Out of no where, Franz spoke up, and loud. And when he's loud, his german accent seemed to be accentuated.
"Eva, you don't deserve to be in a relationship where you are either stressed out or depressed all the time. He doesn't deserve you! I probably don't deserve you either, but I would never ever hurt you the way he does. Cause if I did, I wouldn't know what to do with myself."
Franz' eyes widened when he realized what he just blurted out.
"Excuse me." Franz said, knowing perfectly well that he totally just butt in to something that was totally NOT his business, no matter how much he wanted it to be.
What else could he do? No longer could he just stand around, so he quickly turned to leave.
Sadie Magnas
25-05-2010, 05:27 AM
Sadie watched and listened to Lucas and Nicky talk for a bit, that is until Eva and Marcus began their conversation. As much as Sadie wanted to go up to Lucas and tell him what he was saying was wrong (about girls not giving him the time of day, and that he shouldn't burn his cards.), it seemed as though Nicky beat her to it. However whether Lucas would listen was another story.
Turning towards Eva and Marcus, she watched in silence. Of all the people in the world, Eva and Marcus were the two that she hoped would make it. There were many time where Sadie could picture them, in the future together getting married and Sadie was Eva's maid of honor (she hoped). Then Marcus was gone... much like Mason... but then he came back... Mason did not (as far as she knew). Looking back to the fire Sadie noticed that she was sitting alone... with tears forming in her eyes and her hands gripping the unopened letters. Everyone was getting rather upset tonight. Wasn't tonight about new beginnings? A time to be happy, and a time for change?
She threw the bond letters into the fire. Her unread words were lit up and if one tried to read them they could skim a few words before the fire ate them. Sadie sat there and watched them burn, she did not take her eyes off of them until she could no longer tell them apart from the other smoldering pieces of everyone else past.

He had definitely missed something, or was it everything? Eva was baring her soul to another person at the party, the same guy just told everyone he was a killer and a werewolf, and someone whom Kel had been sitting next to jumped into the conversation declaring his love.
“With that,” grabbing his backpack Kel moved his way to the fire. Un-zipping the bag he dumped his contents into the fire. A dirt and filth covered shirt, pants and a pair of what looked like torn up hiking boots came tumbling out of the bag into the fire. The shirt caught first and then the shoes, the slowest to burn were the pants. Zipping up the green bag Kel put it back on his back.
It all had to be some joke that the group had put together for laughs. Probably to break the ice and have people talk with one another instead of their little groups. Kel figured he would be the first to go if that was the case.
“Now I love tragedies and love triangles as much as the next fella, but stealing your scenario from West Side Story is a bit much don’t ya think?” Kel was stating, not to the three but more to the group. “Personally I would have added a fourth person to the skit, rectangles are always more interesting then triangles.” A humorous idea flashed though his mind.
“Here I’ll help out,” putting on he’s best fake quivering love torn voice Kel continued on. “Oh, Mister man standing before the fire," he said to the Gryffindor Prefect. "Your eyes enraptured me from the moment I saw you!” Getting down on one knee, Kel clasped his hands in a pleading fashion. “I beg you scorn me no more from your heart and let me be with you always!” Tears started to pool in his eyes, he was doing his best to stifle the laughter that was welling up inside of him.

Marcus felt utterly vindicated with his actions by the time Franz had finished his triade. Part of him wondered if all of this was worth it? Having every other male in the school declare thier undying love for Eva Seivert. Well, thats how it seemed anyway.
The russian werewolf peeled his eyes away from Kaiser and back to Eva's face.
He held up his hands, palms outward in a gesture of defeat. He'd had enough of being made to feel like the bad guy when it came to the Redhead.
" I'm done with this crap, Eva. I've been trying to find the right way to tell you that your the only thing left I even care about and that if I press to hard I dont want to push you away. "
He shook his head and stooped to lift several bottles from the crate of beer.
" Its up to you, you know what comes with me, the whole deal or you can have one of these prats who seem to think they know every facet of you enough to profess their love for you every five minutes of the day. "
He turned away from her and moved through the group to walk up the marble stairs. He found a nice groove on the top most step and finished the rest of the beer in his hand before setting it down and uncapping another.
" I want you to have a good long think Eva, am I want you really want when theres all these pretty boys around you? I'll let you decide wether or not you can handle my baggage or wether these others can handle yours, because you know damn well I was Thoms only real friend other than you. I never once judged him no matter what he did. More than I can say for the rest of these people. "
A look of utter disgust crossed his face at that moment as he stared down at the fire.
" You know who and what I am, if you cant deal with that, i'm not asking you to. If you'd rather something easier, take your pick, theres more than enough of them who adore you. "
Then quitely to himself he added.
" As much as it kills me to say. "
It took him a moment, but he slowly lifted his eyes to stare right at Franz. He spoke up, his tone wasn't threatening, he wasn't trying to make any over the top gestures he simply spoke loud enough for the boy to hear.
" Oh, and Kaiser. Dont ever make such remarks about me again. You dont know me. "

Hollie looked at Parker, she vaguely recognised them from the great hall but she didn't know her well. Hollies tears welled over and spilled down her cheeks. She turned back and looked at Bear, bit her lip and shook her head at Parker.
"P...Please, just need a minute to myself. Oh..." She saw her letter was still in her hand, she needed to burn it, that much she knew. She wondered back towards the fire. She reached out her hand and dropped in the letter and then turned back, avoiding Bear.
Jude Paxton
25-05-2010, 06:14 PM
Jude finished his ciggarette and flicked the butt into the fire. Yep, the drama pot was boiling over and he really did not know anyone here for whom he could ask what was going on other than Eva... And currently Eva was a part of said drama, or so it seemed. Jude was no where near close friends with her so much as he was Loki, so he would felt weird coming up to the girl and consoling her, plus it just would not look good at the moment. Not for him mind you, but if Jude went near her that might put more trouble of Eva than she wanted (meaning people would think he was fonning over her like Dide and Franz).
It was probably best just to continue towards the castle and drop his stuff there so the elves could clean his clothes from the week. He was sure that the Headmistress was going to call him into her office to talk about his disappearance. So he did just that, leaving everyone else there to deal with... whatever it was they were dealing with. Jude would see if Eva was alright later.

Parker smiled at Hollieanda, who was crying by this point. The poor thing was obviously really upset, but Parker wasn't going to push it if she wanted to be left alone. She was going to keep an eye on her, though, to make sure that she was okay. Hopefully one of her friends was also there, since one of them would be much better than she herself would be at taking care of Hollieanda.
The rest of her attention was caught by the loud group around the fire. She couldn't exactly catch the words, but two of the older male students seemed angry. The girl with bright red hair was either angry or upset, she wasn't sure which in the light, and she recognized Kel that she had met in the Great Hall. For some reason, he was down on his knees looking up at the Gryffindor Prefect. Confused, she tried to make out what they were saying. She wasn't sure exactly what was going on, but guessed that the open case of beer she had seen from earlier was involved. This was turning out to be a more interesting party than she had expected.

Nicky was right. He was absolutely right. The cards were a part of him and that's what made him unique. If anything was egging him on to do this, it was his own selfishness and want for attention. Having realized this, Lucas took the cards and put them in his pouch. He would never forgive himself if he had done something so bold and brash.
"Thanks, Nicky. You've made a lot of sense and I can't bring myself to do this," he said with a smile.
Lucas turned to see several others throw things in the fire but watched as a certain Gryffindor girl threw something into the fire. After watching the the fire consume what looked like some papers, Lucas walked closer to Sadie and stood next to her. He looked over and saw some tears and was immediately concerned.
"Sadie? Are you alright?" he asked moving closer to make some eye contact. "You know you can always talk to me."
Eva Seivert
26-05-2010, 12:51 AM
Before Marcus could reply, out of no where spoke up Franz. What he said was unexpected and Eva hung her mouth open a few seconds to look at Franz. Before she could say any snappy comeback to him, Kel tried to diffuse the situation by trying to make it a comedy. Whereas Eva would be relieved to see someone try to make everything lighthearted, Marcus had to go and ruin it.
She whipped her head around to look at Marcus. She narrowed her eyes, clenched her fists, inhaled and exhaled slowly. The she turned her head again to look at Franz.
"DON'T pretend to know me, Kaiser. How is that my ex-boyfriend comes back that all the sudden you're interested in me? Now is not a good time." She exclaimed, trying to hold everything in but failing miserably. So that was why she hadn't seen Franz for a while.. because maybe he heard/saw something between her and Marcus and decided to stay away. She wanted to calm everyone down, not state what she felt. She turned her head one last time to find Marcus walking away from her to sit down.
"Oh gee, I'm sorry Marcus that boys happen to think I'm pretty. I'm a model, for pete's sake. Advertisements don't want me because I have a heart of gold." Eva was dripping with sarcasm as she crossed her arms and stared him down through the crowds of people.
"I would be able to handle your baggage if maybe, you wouldn't leave me so often, whether its going to "take care of Drake family business" or working outside and avoiding me like the plague." She was using her hands wildly, getting more and more upset, tears streaming down her face.
She wanted to keep all of her feelings inside where no one could touch them, but no, they were pouring out one after another. "How is that I'm given the ultimatum when its the first time you ever clued me in about anything?" She walked through the crowds, not caring who she ran into.
"I want to help you and listen to you and all that stupid girlfriend and boyfriend stuff! That's why I hung around for so long, just waiting! Anyone here that knows me well enough will confirm it!" She stamped her foot again, so frustrated and angry about everything that was going on.
"Merlin, I waited in the Forrest night after night just hoping you would come back. I've hoped that other werewolves would come around...I've been waiting for you to bite me recently so you don't ever have to think about protecting me again!" Eva exclaimed, revealing her deepest and darkest secret. She gasped and covered her mouth, knowing she said too much.
"How stupid am I! And here you are on about challenging me to take on your baggage when I'm willing to take on your ultimate baggage! So... you mean a lot to me too!" She added, rather lamely. She was breathing heavily and looked back at the crowd who was watching.
"Go on, don't you all have memories to burn!" She yelled like a crazy red-headed witch and sat down on the stump with her arms crossed and a pouty look on her face.

Hollie heard Eva's outburst and knew it wasn't just her spilling her guts tonight. She walked over to the tree stump hoping she was invisible to everyone else. Hollie wiped her own eyes so maybe Eva wouldn't see and then plonked herself down on the ground next to her house mate.
"Hey Eva. You ok?" She looked up at her, blue eyes looking all liquid the way they did after she cried. "We are all saying the quiet stuff loud and the loud stuff quiet tonight huh? How stupid, I just told Bear I love him." Hollie prodded the ground and looked around.
"I think Marcus at least likes you back even though he is sucky at showing it."
Valentina Way
26-05-2010, 02:43 AM
Having no idea what kind of mess she was about to walk in to, Valentina joined the group who everyone seemed to be yelling loudly. That wasn't unusual though, after all this was a party!
However as she approached, she noticed that the yelling didn't sound so nice. Instead, it sounded angry? Actually, it sounded terrible! Eva was yelling at everyone it seemed, and Marcus and Eva were both telling Franz that he didn't know them? Was this a joke?
She walked over to where Eva was now screaming at anyone to burn things.
"Whoa whoa whoa... What is going on here?!" Val said authoritative-like.
She turned to look over at Franz, who had some sort of expression on his face that she couldn't really figure out... other than he didn't look too happy. THAT...she was sure.
"You ok?"
Sadie Magnas
26-05-2010, 03:09 AM
Turning her head Sadie saw Lucas. At first her face was pretty blank... then a few seconds her face twisted into something could only be explained as anguish. Instantly Sadie pressed her body against Lucas's as she started to fully cry and let it all out. Out of everyone Lucas had always been there for her, he was basically her rock. If Lucas was saying anything to her she didn't quite hear it as she was crying so hard, she even missed all the yelling.
It wouldn't be for another minute or two that she calmed down to just sniffling and deep breathing as crying always seemed to leave her breathless. "I'm sorry," she said as her face was still against his shoulder/chest (wherever, she just kinda glomped) "I... I just couldn't hold it in any longer." And then the crying started again, but this time not nearly as bad as when Sadie first started crying.
Dide Caerlaverock
26-05-2010, 03:21 AM
Dide rolled his eyes as Marcus started saying how every guy was after Eva... Yeah, she was hott but what was underneath that pretty face? One big temper was one thing and that was not something Dide wanted nor had the time to deal with. Dide was not that far off from Lucas and Sadie. Turning his head he saw that Lucas was at Sadie's side and she seemed fine... Then she started crying!
Alarms went off in Dide's head and the scene basically told him that his housemate just said something to upset his little dancer. Narrowing his eyes he started to walk back over towards the two... And then he stopped himself. Just what exactly did he think he was going to do or say? Sadie just started talking to him again without yelling at him, how was this going to make things better? He still didn't like how this kid had his paws all over her. So he just stood there and watched.
Marcus Drake
26-05-2010, 04:28 AM
Marcus just stared at Eva.
He opened his mouth to spout something but closed it instead.
He gritted his teeth and actually forced to think about what he wanted to say instead.
" I have no problem with people who think you are pretty. You are, your a supermodel, like you said. What I have a problem with, is these.....other guys who proclaim their love for you. Who say you deserve better than me. None of them know a damn thing about me or what i've done....for myself and for you. "
He looked utterly defeated.
" You know the last thing i'd ever want to do is bite you, I couldn't live with myself. I'm a monster, I dont ever want to make you into something I hate. I didn't ask for this and i'm trying to be normal, for you so its easier. Easier for you to carry on with your life, i'm trying to be a normal human being and not a killing machine. Its hard, damn me, its hard and its even harder having these fools say they know whats best for you. "
He rubbed at his forehead until his skin was red raw. He stuck the bottle of beer between his lips and chugged it down.
" I left once. Granted it was a heck of a long time, but I left once and I did it to save everything dear to me. I couldn't let you or Thom, or Loki get involved. It just wasn't in my concious to bear it to you. Yes, I am back, wether you believe it entirely or not. I give you an ultimatum because you dont seem happy with me....i'm not trying to be a victim, I know i've pushed you away.....but its your choice. "
He looked straight at her for a moment then down between his feet. Only she would know how awkward admitting all this in public was for him.
" Either come here and tell me you love me or walk away. I'm never leaving again, no matter what anyone says. I love you Iris Evanka Seivert and thats not going to change. "
And that, ladies and gentlemen was the first time Marcus had used Eva's real name. He was serious.
((OOC: not bad for being drunk out of my damn head XD ))
Nicky Bathurst
26-05-2010, 06:13 AM
Nicky blinked his eyes, Lucas had listened to him. What had shocked himself the most was the fact that he was helping someone.
Lucas walked off seemingly clear of mind, Nicky walked back to where Sebrena stood. "Well I'm back, And it looks like you have something to write about. Seth isn't here either, Looks like you beat him to the juiciest story the month."
Things were heating around certain groups, There was even a declaration of love.
Gazing into the fire Nicky surmised that, When the last serum absorbed ember burns out and when the lumber is replaced. The effects should dissipate completely, Along with all traces of the potion.
Despite the risks of whats going on, Nicky was starting to enjoy what was happening. It was the first time something he created, Had worked on live subjects....Even if the subjects were his peers.
"I think this will be an evening to remember."
Bear Nayet
26-05-2010, 09:47 PM
What happened next was all a surprise to Bear. In one second, he was lighting the fire, and the next second after Nicky threw something into the flames and a peculiar smell popped up, everyone was yelling at each other. Bear was so engrossed to the spectacles around him that he almost missed Hollieanda's confession, which was that she loved him.
He turned to look at her in slow motion as she confessed that she really liked him and not as a friend, and then blurted out that she loved him. He just stood there for a few moments, staring at her, unsure of what to make of it as she turned and ran away soon to be comforted by Parker, the new Ravenclaw. Bear's head began to spin, delighted that Hollieanda returned some of the feelings he had for her, and terrified of the "L" word.
He just stood there as everyone continued to yell around him and the fumes inhaled his nostrils. He had the sudden urge to run up to Hollieanda and kiss her, but first he had something to do. Taking the letters out of his pocket, he tossed it into the flames and watched them burn. Him and Alexis were over. A new Bear arrived and one that had the sudden need to seize the day.
He straightened up and marched over to Hollieanda, who was trying to comfort Eva, though the girl was occupied by Marcus the Werewolf. However, since the fumes of the fire were fading, Bear wasn't so confident anymore and resolution to act on his need to kiss her was fading as well.
"Hollieanda." Bear squeaked out and then steadied himself. He gestured to walk with him away from the group because of course, one tearful confession was all the night needed. After a few steps, he turned and looked at her.
"I don't know if I love you yet. However, I do like you a lot. If you can settle for that, will you go out with me?" He managed the last part out without sounding like a complete fool. He sheepishly smiled at her, happy that he actually acted on his feelings, but nervous that she loved him. The word Love was too much for Bear at this point.

Hollieanda looked up at Bear. His words took a moment to register and when they did she felt light headed. He liked her back. Her heart thudded against her chest hard as she stood up. She looked up into his eyes and she smiled at him, her cheeks flushing pink. She swallowed hard.
"Um, of course I will." She laughed softly. "You don't think I make huge sweeping confessions for nothing do you?" She rubbed her foot on the floor and looked at her feet nervously. "Um..." She looked back up at Bear, the idea flooded into her head and she didn't give herself time to question it. She stepped close against him and leant her face up for a kiss.
Bear Nayet
26-05-2010, 10:04 PM
Bear nervously licked his lips as Hollieanda leaned in for a kiss. She accepted, which was a relief for Bear because it would have been awful if Hollieanda refused him. All that for nothing!
Bear closed his eyes, leaned down and kiss her back. It was a sweet gentle kiss and Bear was happy that Hollieanda actually had the courage to initiate it. He put his hands in hers and took a step back, beaming. First the party, though not going to plan necessarily, and now this! It was a good day for Bear and the thought was giving him a spring in his step.
He thought of the both of them and how shy they were around each other. Even now, just holding Hollieanda's hand gave Bear butterflies. He then started to laugh and looked at Hollieanda.
"What ever made you say that to me? I didn't have a clue that you liked me until tonight!" He tried to remember if anything happened between the two and Bear couldn't honestly say. They were good friends and they all hung around together due to being in Ravenclaw.

The kiss left Hollie almost breathless, it was gentle and sweet. She squeezed Bear's hand gently and looked up at him. This was the best out come of the party she could ever have imagined. She shrugged at his question and smiled shyly.
"Um...I dunno, it came into my head and just sort of stumbled out my mouth before I could stop myself." She blushed, it sounded really dumb now she had said it out loud. She squeezed his hand again. "I am really glad I said it though."
Franz Kaiser
27-05-2010, 04:20 AM
As if it wasn't embarassing enough that Franz just said out loud his feelings. Marcus had to make a comment to him to never speak like that again. Well, no effing duh. He wasn't sure why the hell he said it in the first place.
But what happened next.... Franz will never forget. Even if he forgot everything else in his brain, he couldn't forget the hurt he felt when Eva told him not to pretend to know her, and asked him... probably rhetorically, but why did he suddenly have in interest in her now that Marcus was back. He wasn't sure if the heavy pain he felt in his chest was due to the fact that Eva just talked to him in that manner, or that she just implied that he didn't know her, or that she implied that he was only interested because her ex-boyfriend was back. But it didn't matter at this point.
"It's not all of a sudden. I just never..." Franz paused. WHY THE HELL WAS HE STILL TALKING ABOUT HIS FEELINGS?!?!
At that, Val had reached the group and asked if he was ok. Completely ignoring her, he just walked away. There was no way he could stay at this party any longer. There was no way he'd ever even try to talk to Eva again. Memories of hanging out with Eva at the pub, at parties, running in to her in the hall ways, and holding her while she cried about Thom's arrest and Loki leaving school.......
The last image stayed in his mind the longest as he made his way... well, somewhere, he didn't know where, he just walked. And then ran.

Lucas looked dumbfounded as Sadie collapsed into his arms bawling her eyes out. He didn't mean to say anything that would make her cry or upset. He knew she was already on the verge of tears, but he didn't expect this. After her apology, he brought his arms up around her to comfort her like he had so many times before.
He left Sadie cry and found himself rubbing her back with his hand very gently. He didn't know what to say. He wanted to say something but no words came out. Lucas simply lifted Sadie's chin and kissed her on the forehead.
"It'll be ok, Sadie. I'm here. Let's sit down. Alright?" he said extending his hand to hers.
Kel Henderson
28-05-2010, 09:00 PM
Kel was in shock, had he died? Was he invisible? Looking down at his arms, he could still see them. Kel at this point had a distinct dislike for the Gryffindor Prefect. He completely ignored Kel, of all the rude things in the world to do, acting as if he didn't even exist!
Kel looked at Val, “Well don't feel too bad.” He began, “He apparently didn't even acknowledge my existence either, and I'm in his House! I personally thought this was all a joke, but that might not be the case. A lot of people turned the night evening into an all out confession.” Kel said as he shifted his green backpack on his shoulder. Looking at Val again he continued, “Please tell me that you're not here to do the same?” With a weird set grimace on his face, and a cocked eyebrow he waited for Val's response.
Angel C. Starr
29-05-2010, 05:49 PM
It was certainly turning into a true Hogwarts party with drama going on all around, it would seem that the Ravenclaws could throw a party. And for once Angel was somehow not involved in any of the drama, instead being a silent observer. But she was torn, not sure if she should get involved.
There was Eva, who was pretty much a sister to Angel. She had promised Loki that she would watch over the girl and now it seemed like all hell had broken loose. If her conversation with Marcus wasn't insane enough, for some reason Franz thought it was the perfect moment to admit his attraction for the young model. What was that boy thinking?
Angel was fighting the urge to punch Marcus, and she didn't even listen to half of the words he was saying. She did understand one thing, he was part of a dark wizarding family and he was dangerous. But he loved her, and if Angel knew anything right now it would be that love was the most important thing.
"Then stop pushing her away and just love her like you want to! Because if you break her heart one more time Marcus I'll kill you and we won't have to go through this mess again!" Angel screamed at Marcus the moment she opened her mouth, her eyes opening wide. "Oh! Did not mean to say that out loud. But sense I'm apparently speaking my mind, you love her, she loves you and the two of you should be having wild animalistic sex to make up for lost time!"
Angel did not know why she was suddenly being so truthful but if felt great. "And now I need to find my boyfriend so that I can break up with him, because I'm cheating on him with Loki. Goddess! I need to shut up!"
Rocco Starr
29-05-2010, 08:13 PM
'Oh really now?' Rocco questioned, an enraged look on his face. He had been just heading to the party when he heard a bunch of yelling, some of it being his never boring girlfriend. It would appear that there was drama starting again.
Until he overheard Angel's confession to cheating on him with none other than that annoying Loki Seivert. Yes their relationship was arranged, and sure he didn't really have any feelings for the Starr heiress but he'd never had a girlfriend cheat on him. Not Rocco Starr, and now the little bitch went and embarrassed him.
'I had my worries about you two when we first started dating, but you assured me that you were just friends! Maybe I should have listened to Seth and Valentina a bit closer, you are just a selfish slut!' Rocco yelled, grabbing a hold of his girlfriend's arm.
Sure he'd gained the publicity he wanted by dating her but he'd had to put up with her for months. Sure he'd had thoughts about Sebrena but never did he betray Angel, at least not physically.
'I've bought you gifts, taken you on an expensive date, attended your needs and I got your Grandmother to leave you alone! And this is how you repay me? The Gryffin-whore changed her mind again?'
Parker Harrison
29-05-2010, 08:16 PM
Wow... was the only thought that popped up in Parker's mind. Half the people there were yelling at each other, some of them confessing what it seemed like they didn't want to confess. If that's what alcohol did to someone, Parker was planning on not drinking. Ever. She giggled to herself; it might be loud and full of awkward situations, but at least it seemed like some of the guests were having fun. She noticed that Hollieanda had been found by a male student who kissed her, so stopped worrying about the crying girl.
Taking advantage of everyone's distraction, Parker managed to make her way to the fire and toss in her letter. She watched it burn along with the remnants of whatever else had been tossed in earlier. The flames really were pretty, and it wasn't often she spent time outdoors like this. Looking away from the lit circle of the party, she could make out the waters of the lake, dark and gently reflecting the light from the moon and - to a lesser extent - the light from the fire.
Her one task for the night done, she decided it was okay to leave the party. Not like she had been hanging out with anyone, anyhow. Walking away from the lit circle, she headed towards the lake. She hadn't gotten a chance to walk near it yet, spending most of her time studying to catch up. Planning on walking around it for a bit before heading back up to the common room, Parker stopped listening to the conversations and arguments going on back at the party and instead concentrated on the night air.
Angel C. Starr
29-05-2010, 08:28 PM
Angel's heart skipped a beat when she heard Rocco come up behind her. This was not how she wanted the end things with him, in fact she never planned to bring up her new relationship with Loki. Honestly she had figured Rocco wouldn't really care, he was only in the relationship for the publicity.
For a moment Angel felt terrible to cheating on Rocco but his hurtful words brought clarity to her mind. She was forced to date him, they both knew it. Did he honestly expect things to last between them? Especially with his various insults he'd managed to toss around during their joke of a relationship.
"You only wanted me for my fame! You just wanted to get attention for dating me, you didn't care what was going on in my head. So don't act hurt because things didn't work out." She yelled back, yanking her arm out of his grip.
Her mind flashed back to his backhand compliments, the jokes about her personality flaws. It was a bad romance that needed to end. They weren't good for each other and she was in love with Loki.
"I didn't want to end things like this, but this was going end even if I wasn't in love with Loki. I can barely stand you, and I want to scream every time you touch me! I hate you!" She screamed, poking him in the chest. The words kept coming out and she couldn't stop them. "The act is over!"
Rocco Starr
29-05-2010, 09:02 PM
It was true that Angel was making some very valid points and maybe if Rocco was a little more calm he'd be able to realize that she was right. With his uncontrollable temper Rocco was finding it very hard to care about what her excuses were. No one cheated on him, not even little Miss Angel Starr should get away with embarrassing him like that.
She had wounded his pride and that was a terrible offense in his book of laws.
'You hate me? Well I sure as hell wasn't in love with you but we had a deal, we were dating! I'm courting you, so you have no right to cheat on me with that red headed loser. I'm more attractive than him, I have more money and I can provide for you better than he ever will be able to.' Right now Rocco wanted nothing more than to break Loki Seivert's nose.
Sure he didn't love Angel but they usually got along well enough, she was attractive and to top it all she came from a respectable pureblood family. When it came to pureblood relationships love was just a second thought, not a requirement.
'Do you expect him to take care of you when you get disowned? Will he still want you when you are broke? Because all anyone could want from you is you money and your body, and you're just not that great in bed darling.'
Making another grab for her arm he knocked accidentally knocked her down. 'Drinking like usual? I'd say I'm sorry but that would be a lie.'
Hollieanda Spark

Hollieanda watched in horror at the arguement between Rocco and Angel. Angel may been well off and have a reputation but she had been nice when Hollieanda had spoken to her the few times they had crossed paths. She also knew that Angel was Eva's best friend, so she must be a good person because Hollie didn't think Eva would have a best friend who wasn't a good person. She could feel herself getting angry at Rocco and then he pushed Angel over. Her hand was out of Bear's and her wand drawn before she could think.
"Help her up and apologise now." Her voice was low, almost a growl. She was so very angry. She had taken a step forwards and it had taken her a step closer to the fire. The odd smell hit her again and her head spun.
"You do not hurt women. Ever? If you do not help her up and apologise and leave right now God only knows what I will do to you. Me, my mother and my sister did not suffer at the hands of my father for me to stand here while other people do the same thing." She paled as the said the words. She really had never meant to say that, ever, to anyone, and now she had just told everyone. She had promised she would never tell anyone for her mothers sake. She tried the cover it up.
"Leave, what ever the hell your name is and leave Angel alone, your showing us all exactly why your being dumped." She put her wand away and turned back and looked up at Bear, she was pale and shaking. Her eyes had gone wide and very pale blue. It was hard to breathe suddenly as she remembered that her mother had said if they ever said she would end up in hell. She looked at the ground.
"I don't feel very good." Her voice was quiet, she spoke it to herself.
Kel Henderson
29-05-2010, 11:18 PM
Bells and whistles where going off in Kel’s head at the moment. He had started to talk to Val when a guy he had never seen before started to mistreat Angel. Before he could hear a word of what was going on, Angel was on the ground, by the looks of it because the guy had shoved her. Whipping out his wand Kel moved to defend Angel, no one was going to treat a house mate of his like that.
By the time that he had reached Angel's side Holly was rounding on the guy. When Holly was done Kel added his two cents. Pointing his wand level at the boy’s chest Kel yelled at Rocco, “By Merlin, I will blast you into oblivion if you touch Angel again!” Kel face was beat red with anger at the person standing in front of him. “You will leave, NOW!” Looking down at Angel, he asked “Are you all right? Just give me the word and I’ll make him forget how to count his day’s properly.” Kel was livid, he may sometimes get in the way and be a nuisance but he was not about to allow anyone to be treated in such a manner. Kel clenched his hand around his wand.
Angel C. Starr

Rocco's words were playing on her fears, he knew that she hated feeling helpless. She might have told Loki that she didn't care if she was disowned again but deep down inside Angel did fear the rejection. She was accustomed to living a certain lifestyle but she would give it up for Loki. She had waited for so long to hear him say that he loved her and she wasn't about to let Rocco play on her fears.
When he made another grab for her she instantly fought back, struggling to keep away. What she didn't expect was to fall to the ground, letting out a yelp of surprise. She was uninjured for the most part, except for some mild pain on her right ankle.
Another thing she didn't expect was the rush of people coming to her rescue and oddly enough she felt bad for Rocco. He hadn't meant to knock her down, she was the one who cheated on him. "I'm fine, really." She assured Kel, struggling before she managed to get herself up.
"Rocco didn't mean it, he's just upset. But thanks Hollie, I'm sure he realizes that he's just over reacting." Why was she defending him, guilt over cheating on him? "I mostly tripped, I have terrible balance."
Her eyes drifted back to Rocco, "Let's go somewhere more private, and talk about this. This really isn't the right place..."

Who was this girl who was suddenly yelling at him, and what business did she have getting involved in their argument? Instead of apologizing Rocco laughed at Hollieanda's empty threat, oh yes he was really worried about what they little red head would do to him.
'Just who do you think you are dealing with little girl? My girlfriend cheats on me and you come running to her rescue, what sense does that make?' Rocco yelled back at the girl, he was seeing red. 'I don't care what happened in your pathetic little family but she tripped so don't go blaming me for her clumsiness. She's a total lush, so it really doesn't surprise me.'
When another boy stepped in Rocco was about to pull out his own wand but he heard Angel come to his defense. 'A little to late dear, I really doubt we have anything to talk about. You are a lying whore, and believe me not everyone will come running to your rescue.'
As far as Rocco was concerned he was done of Angel, sick of Hogwarts and ready to punch Loki Seivert the next time their paths met. Oddly enough Rocco felt something akin to hurt, he was actually starting to like the girl.
Maybe Sebrena was around? Hopefully she wouldn't think he was a total jerk for apparently overreacting about being cheated on.
'We could have been great together, our looks and heritage combined. I hope for your sake he really loves you, because otherwise I don't know how else anyone could trust you.'

Marcus eyes flicked to Angels face when she began to berate him. His stare hardened but Starr was right. They shouldn't be fighting but the outside influences into their rocky relationship were too over baring for Marcus. He practically bulldozed his way back into her life, forced the boy she was close with to hate him and now Dide had shown his face back in the school
Maybe he should see about visitation rights to see Thom, help sort his head out and he was sure Thom could use a friend right now.
Then everything errupted, Rocco slung Angel to the floor. From his angle he couldn't see wether she had tripped or the boy had thrown her down. Everyone was up to her defence and Angel slunk away with Hollie.
Rocco milled around, Marcus watched him with an impassive expression. Now, Marcus and Angel weren't the best of friends, but he was more than ready to fling a curse in the boys face rather than say anything.
The werewolf turned to gaze at Eva, the ball was in her half of the court now.
Sebrena Abayomi

Sebrena had stayed in the background for the majority of the party gathering notes and talking to some people. When the drama happened, she was near Franz, Kel and Val and furiously took notes of Marcus, Eva and Franz; then took notes on the weird situation with Lucas, Sadie and Dide. She completely missed the coupling of Bear and Hollieanda. It was romantic drama tonight and Sebrena wondered what was going on. What did everyone snort, or take before coming to the party?
Sebrena shrugged her shoulders as Kel was promptly ignored by Franz but before she could consol and then criticize him, Rocco knocked Angel over and other students came to her rescue. Sebrena's jaw dropped at the commotion and conflicting emotions came to the surface on what she should do. Should she stay in the background or jump in headfirst?
She was a Gryffindor. Of course she would jump in head first. She marched over to him and stared him down. "Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?" Sebrena spat, so angry that Rocco was throwing around degrading words and generally making a fool out of himself.
"It doesn't matter what she did, you have no right to call her a whore, a drunk or a liar in front of all these people." The effects of the potion that Nicky threw into the fire was mostly gone and Sebrena inhaled the remnants of it. She wanted to blurt out that Rocco should be happy that Angel decided to leave him, but she shut close that part of her heart.
"You need to get a hold of yourself, Mr. Starr and walk away." Sebrena balled her fist and clamped them by her side, hoping to goodness she didn't draw her wand like Kel and Hollieanda.
She wanted to make some sort of speech, or just kick Rocco in the shins incredibly hard, but she couldn't make a move. Nothing sassy or clever came to her mind-she was shocked and hurt that Rocco would throw those words around like it was candy to him.
Sebrena looked back at Kel with a small smile on her face. He was a Gryffindor like she was, and they were always quick to jump into a fight, for better or for worse. However, she couldn't look at Angel. Sebrena had been jealous of the girl, getting Rocco's attention and generally being a relationship with him.
Was she insane? Rocco was selfish, egotistical and a jerk. Why in Merlin's name would she be jealous? Still, Sebrena couldn't get incredibly mad at Rocco or take Angel's side completely. The girl was torn.

“You're a dithering fool, and I hope someone hexes you cross-eyed,” Kel spat at Rocco. Spinning his wand between his fingers for a moment he replaced it back in his back pocket where he normally stored it. If Kel had a list of people he despised, it would be long indeed with the new additions from tonight.
He was already tired of being at the party and wanted to go back to the castle but thought he should stay until Rocco left the premesis of where Angel was. If the night had any foreshadowing of itself next the giant squid would come out of the lake and take some students with him. A slight grin spread across Kel’s face as he pictured Rocco getting pulled under the water. That would certainly cool his temper, Kel mused to himself.
Sadie Magnas

Sadie hiccuped and nodded into Lucas's chest about his suggestion for sitting down. Why was she doing this? Falling completely apart in her exboyfriend's arms and crying. She let Lucas lead her to wherever it was he was planning on seating them. If he led her into the Forrest she wouldn't have put up a fight as she was not paying attention.
Breathing in she took note of his scent. It was one of Sadie's favorite things about Lucas when they were dating. He would smell like a warm summer night after it rains with hints of cinnamon. It might have been silly but it was a comforting scent.
As they were moving Sadie could here the commotion. She lifted up her head in the direction of her friends. "Whats going on?" She asked Lucas as clearly she could through her tears.
Eva Seivert
02-06-2010, 06:41 AM
Eva couldn't help it. Big giant droplets fell down her face in a hurry and she tried in vain to wipe them away. She was thankful that charm that kept her makeup in place.
"I love you Marcus." Eva said shakily, realizing that he had used her first name, nay, her whole entire name in front of everyone. Yes, he enjoyed that song with her birthright by the muggle band Goo Goo dolls, but he never said her name.
"I always have and I daresay that I always will. It was in vain that I tried to move on, and at the end of the day, when I close my eyes, I think of you." She walked over to him as the commotion went on. Eva was thankful for everything Angel did for her, but now it seemed that the thrill of fighting was over and Eva wondered what in fact, happened that made her say all of those things.
Eva wanted to explain why she wanted to turn into a werewolf when other students started to yell and Eva turned to see Angel shakily getting up. Eva looked alarm and pulled out her wand, ready to hex Rocco to hell. However, it had calmed down and more students were coming to her rescue. She turned back to Marcus and took his hand.
"I want to make one thing clear. If you leave again without an explanation, I will find you. I will go after you and do whatever means necessary to find you again. Do you hear me? No more leaving me in the dark." Eva waggled his finger at him.

It was hard for Marcus in that moment, but he would not, cry.
He prided himself in his ability to take every single thing the world threw at him, granted it turned him into a bitter cynic, but still he never broke. If anything he threw right back.
He'd seen Eva cry so many times before and he'd always been there to close his arms around her and make her feel safe. This time he was the cause and it made him feel hollow inside his chest.
He put his hand up and grabbed her wiggling find, then slipped his own through hers, his huge scar ridden fingers alongside her slim ivory digits.
" I told you already, i'm not leaving again. Unless its away to a beautiful hot country with you. "
He gave a roguish twist of the lips and grabbed her, bringing her forward to sit onto his lap. He held her there, easy as could be and unopenned another beer.
Despite his lack of apparent interest in the situation his hand was shaking.

Bear's jaw tensed as the scene unfolded before his eyes. What was getting into everyone tonight? New beginnings indeed! However, things turned for the worse when Hollieanda jumped into the picture and revealed something that normally not many people would reveal in front of a large crowd.
Bear had pulled out his wand to come to the rescue if need be, but it seemed that others had it under control. Hollieanda then turned to look at him and muttered that she didn't feel very well.
"Its OK." Bear put his arm around her to consol her and to also hide the anger bubbling up inside of him. In the Hopi way, women were considered precious and consider more holy than men. Women beater in his own village were few and far between. He said nothing to Rocco or interfered in the fight. It wasn't his business and Kel was there to defend. He was concerned with Hollieanda and as he looked around, he saw Lucas and Sadie off to the side.
"Come on, let's move away from here." Bear said softly and started to lead Hollieanda away from the fight.
"I never dreamed that this party would turn out like this. Though in some way, what was revealed was very good to some parties."

Hollie leant against Bear as he began to lead her away. Her cheeks where hot. She saw Eva on Marcus's lap and smiled to herself.
"Yeah...some of the things have been good. This is good." She cuddled herself on Bear's side some more. "So is that." Pointing at Eva and Marcus. She raised her eyes up to Bear's face.
"I am...um...sorry for the outburst then." She cleared her throat and looked at the floor. "I really was never meant to tell anyone that, I promised I wouldn't." Her voice came out as a whisper.
Rocco Starr

'Sebrena I'm so happy that you are here to witness my embarrassment, I doubt you would ever manage to miss it.' Rocco turned around, somehow managing to pull a smile back on his face.
With the appearance of Sebrena his attention on Angel waned, perhaps a sign of why their relationship wasn't working. Correct, didn't work, since they were now very clearly broken up in a very public way. How would the Snitch spin their break up? Hopefully with Seth writing the story it would show Rocco in a good light, as the heartbroken lover.
But he wasn't heartbroken, just very angry about being cheated on by a girl who he had tried so hard to get along with. Well maybe he didn't try that hard, but he'd at least given some effort! All for nothing.
'I do regret making such a scene, but I will not feel bad for using words that aptly describes my now ex-girlfriend. You wait until someone cheats on you, and we'll see how cordial you remain Miss Abayomi.' Rocco was once again struck by how attracted he was to the girl, the girl his family would never approve of. 'I apologize that you had to witness this facet of my personality.'
Looking back at Angel for a second he took a deep breath, why did he feel like things weren't over just yet? Looking back to Sebrena he tried to keep a smile on his face. 'I will leave, like you suggested. But I hope next time we meet it is on more pleasant terms.'
And then he walked away.

Bear turned to look at Hollieanda and put both hands on her shoulders. Hollieanda was short, and Bear was short for a guy, but Bear was significantly taller than Hollieanda, so he crouched a bit to stare steadily into her eyes.
"Don't apologize. This has been a weird night because it seems we weren't the only ones spilling our guts for everyone to see." Bear said slowly and paused for a moment to think about what he would say next.
"I don't know too much about your family, but from what I do know, I daresay that you don't owe them any promises or allegiance." Bear tightened the hold on her shoulders. "The point of his party was to start over. You are your own person now. You can do whatever you want and decide for yourself what you believe and what you don't."
Bear was lecturing. He knew he was but he couldn't help but say what he wanted. The terrible truth about Hollieanda's fact bubbled inside of him and encouraged him to speak his mind. He let go of her shoulders and straightened up. He didn't know that Hollieanda was once told that she would go to hell if she told anyone about the abuse, but Bear would have been livid if he found out.
"Come on, let's go chill out. What an eventful night, I tell you. I see Lucas and Sadie over yonder." He pointed and furrowed his brow at the sight of Sadie crying with Lucas, no less. He knew they dated but were still good friends.
Lucas Montgomery
03-06-2010, 08:14 PM
Lucas moved a few feet away from the fire near an open log they could sit on. He kept and arm around Sadie and use his hand to rub her back gently. He took a moment and tried to think what might have had her upset. Lucas knew he didn't do anything to upset her as of late. Maybe it was one of the usual suspects around the castle. Possibly Seth or worse...Death.
"I'm not sure what's going on, Sadie. But I think there might have been a failed experiment in the fire," he said with a chuckle. "But I wouldn't worry about it. I think we're gonna be alright."
He reached down with his other hand and lifted her chin. "Are you gonna be alright? People are going to ask how did the psychic make the dancer cry," he said with a laugh.

And with that their relationship was over. While it was short lived, it certainly had gained attention quickly, mostly thanks to Rocco's need for fame. Didn't he realize that fame didn't led to happiness?
Somehow Angel didn't hate him, and she really did hope he'd realize he was searching for the wrong thing in life. Right now Angel had Loki, and that was enough to keep her going. It also helped that she had a circle of supportive friends when her boyfriend couldn't be there to put Rocco in his place.
Boyfriend. Loki Seivert was her boyfriend. That thought alone kept a smile on her face, with that she didn't care what Rocco, the school or the Snitch thought of her. But she did care what Holly thought of her. That was one conversation she was dreading, the break up from Rocco was easy in comparison.
Moving up to the fire Angel pulled out the articles about Rocco and her, tossing them into the fire. The perfect ending to the show.
Deciding to check in on her adoptive little sister Angel walked over to Eva and Marcus, the sight of them bringing a smile to her face. "Now that is what I expect to see more often!" She declared before taking a seat in Eva's lap, which made quite a sight with her already is Marcus' lap. "Now I think I'm going to call it a night and visit Loki, the night is young."
Kissing Eva on the cheek she gave Marcus a wink. "Treat my girl right!"

And like that, Rocco had walked away. Though he was outlandish and angry at Angel's betrayal, he was rather calm and collected when speaking to her. He mentioned that she wouldn't be cordial when someone cheated on her, but Sebrena was going to be stubborn and declare that she would never date someone that cheated on her.
But of course, she had a crush on the jerk off Rocco, who just called Angel names in front of everyone and Sebrena wouldn't trust him as far as he could throw him. Ugh. The contradictions.
With that episode over, Sebrena shakily turned around and went over to the fire. She tossed in letters from her Aunt, her teacher, governess and second-mother, into the fire, advising her to basically hide away until graduation and study and that her journalism dreams were nothing but a dream.

“Well, now that the drama Llama is gone I guess I can take my leave.” Kel said out loud to no one in particular. That seemed to be the theme for him, with no one really to talk to, conversation with one’s self was the next best thing. He didn’t want to end the night by going back to the castle for two glaring reasons. One Rocco’s modern strife was heading back there, and after seeing all the people hooking up, Kel felt lonely. He had been gone for so long and without anyone to really talk to he missed company more than anything else. Kel decided that he would instead head over to the Quidditch field just to sit and watch the sky and mainly brood to himself.
Looking back over his shoulder, as he walked to the field, Kel secretly hoped that someone would come to after him. But no one seemed to be moving from their comfortable little spots. As he continued on he didn’t realize how cool it was out by now, not being near the fire. Stuffing his hands in his pockets, he shuffled his way to what seemed the other side of the castle, to go sit on the bleachers next to the pitch.

Hollie attempted a smile at Bear. It was a new beginning but the guilt was building already. A sudden realisation came over her...her father had promised if she ever told of his nastier side she would go to hell, he mother had reliterated it. They had even said she was going to hell when she had joined this school and they had rejected her. So either way she was going to hell, she could do a bit more of what she wanted rather than what was always prim and proper now right?
She smiled, a full, warm and proper smile at Bear. Her blue eyes sparkled and she pulled him gently towards her more.
"It is a new beginning, your right." She slid her hands under his shirt at his waist and cuddled him to her. She liked this, very much, now she wouldnt have to be so good all the time, she just needed to get over her well trainned shyness now.
