Well there's another one for me now. Major Tom (Coming Home) ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGultrg7l0I&NR=1) cover by Shiny Toy Guns. For me, it's one of those songs used in a commercial that you really enjoy and want to know who sings it. 'Course I remember when the original was on the air back in the 80's. lol

Well, if you couldn't tell from my post in the musical thread, I've been listening to a lot of Blue Oyster Cult lately. My taste in music is apparently quite odd, especially considering I almost choreographed a dance to Don't Fear the Reaper back when I was teaching... *is weird*

Listening to "Jump off (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7O3L1LtdFU)" By The Banned of St.Trinian
It's the F.N.E. anthem, at least that's what I think of when I hear this song. ;D
"Get that girl, a lifetime away from me. She can't rock it to my world, shaking her peachy B.U.T. Get that girl a lesson in anarchy, 'Cause we all know that to much work leads to a trip to A&E."
"Tell that girl, the best things in life ain't free. 'Cause homework's a dirty word and teachers are just plain B.A.D. Get that girl some originality, just look after number one, and don't care bout no one but me."

Miley,
MC Chris, definatly yes first, track I listened to (hoodie ninja) I liked *thumbs up*.
One republic, first track Listened to (All the right moves) mmmmmmeh they could grow on me, secound track (Marchin on) getting a bit flat, third track (Stop and stare) sorry but they sound very flat to me. I might check them out again at a later date; if you can find a track with a bit more oomph or emotion to it, please put up a link.
EH, general
Right now listening to Moby; just realised he made only a handful of good tracks, also flicking through Cream, Doors and Bonobo generally listening to stuff Iv'e played to death. MC Chris is good but its not quite what I need, I need a completly new sound, or something from when I was a kid and forgot about it.
Suggestions??
Oh and ladies and gent's I give you Bobby McFerrin, owner of the widest vocal range, and massive creativity.

does double tone throat singing, just after 2:05; an alternative of the song which is also good is the concert solo version, but the quality isn't as good and if you liked that heres some of his older stuff.

Miley,
Um searching? I found Greg patillo because he does a cover with his trio of faus of the faubles by charles Mingus. I got into charles mingus after I was listening to Miles Davies I got into Jazz in general from living with jazz students who I got along with because they also liked bonobo which I started listening to after cinematric orchestra, which I found in my first.
Corbin,
No Iv'e never really been into proper hip-hop, but yeah the roots I like they seem to have a bit of soul influence, try some limp twins.

For some reason, I got to thinking of ranges when Drachir mentioned them. Yma Sumac popped into my head, the only woman I remember to have the widest range of low pitch and high pitch.
"Chuncho" By Yma Sumac (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KprLT-JxPY)
Chuncho means forrest sounds/animals (rough translation I found for the word) She grew up by one so the song makes sense. The vid gets out of sync a lot but it's still good.
She also made those mambo songs, If anyone has seen Death to smoochy you know what I'm talking about. ;D

He does some cool echo effects around 6 mins.

I couldn't find any other Cocteau twin songs that fit their style with Alice, which is a shame since its something they should have played around with me.
I faved Deerhoofs "The perfect me" ^-^ Thanks Drachir.
Today, I don't know why but I'm listening to a great song from the Sims busting out soundtrack.
The song is in simish, So I make up the meaning of the lyrics as I listen to it.
